rwp
Deps, baitsanity, savage, probably just about anything else. Upgrade the hooks and rings on anything you use.

BigSpirit
Sorry to bring up an old thread, but do y’all have a favorite color sneaky Pete for stripers? I understand match the hatch, but just curious
Steven C
Out here in California they bite the bone color pretty dang good. Make sure to upgrade your hooks and split rings. I use hyperwire rings and st 56 hooks. Also make sure you get some spare tails, or glue it in.
Gdimop96
My favs are usually garage baits, one piece gliders… a good builder is named scabelly try messaging him on Instagram. But I’ve had a lot of success on the s waver 200 in white just letting the current take it a little and then slow rolling. Fish in pics ain’t big but hopefully I’ll land a big one this year from the surf CG_Fishes
rwp
Bright colors have worked the best for me. White, bone, chartreuse, anything reflective, glow in the dark.
bassturds
Surf castin with the PG. finally landed one on it. Had a few whacks and follows on it last season. Glide baits and spooks for Striper! When I got this fish, it was the best 2 weeks of fishing off my backyard I’ve ever seen in my 30 Years of life CG_Fishes
browniez
With striper it’s not the “what”. It’s the “when”. When you time the “When” correctly they are amazingly dumb fish. Timing the “When” requires more work then I’ve ever put in for any other species. The windows are shorter than any other. Glidepride
Salt water will makes your bait more bouyant so if you want the bait to go below the surface I'd go with a Deps 250 and add some tungsten putty to get the bait to sink. You can also add wait in the tail cavity.
Delta_fisher
Owner STx-58 or Owner ST-66 is the way to go. I fish for stripers in the California delta with glides. Like any other bait you need to find the cadence to presentation they want to eat. resin baits should be at the top of your list. They will withstand the bites. Injected baits will crack to big bites and the deathroll inherent with big stripers. Tom S
While i don't have any fish pic to prove it I deep cranked a DRT ghost in 60ft of open water to a school of suspended stripers at 30ft a few days ago. I had a bite! But it came off... Lake record is only 18#. I keep trying BIG baits to beat it. Jim137a and BayAreaAngler
Tom S
People have caught Giant fish on the ghost. I think that with the right hooks you can land the biggest stripers and blues on it. You can make it swim very well in current by making it sink at your desired rate. Edited March 4, 2022 by Tom S BayAreaAngler
