A kid I work with is really into it and I have him specs of my bait and took it and refined it a bit. We are working on some design details and how to make the bait more buoyant because the material is a lot denser than the poplar I work with. While I’m waiting for my buddy to paint about 15 perch wakes and some cranks I’ve been playing with some one off baits for myself or maybe I’ll give them away. A rat, some glides. I’ve been really wanting to perfect a glidebait and I’m getting closer and closer to something I am happy with. Threw it up into some lay downs and got a sink to eat. sent one of my perch to a local guy that paints. I think he did a great job way better than I could ever do. Spencer_518 Posted December 29, 2022 Author Report Share Posted December 29, 2022 I got some baits available that I’m trying to move before the end of the year. Trying to unload so I can kind of regroup for 2023. Next year I don’t think I’m going to be making many baits and focus more on fishing now that I have a boat. A little burnt out from hours and hours of making baits for them to be subpar and mediocre. Maybe make a few for myself but probably not going to try and sell any next year. A little discouraging seeing guys make a first bait and it’s light years ahead of mine and they just shrug it off and don’t see the opportunity for what they could do.
