FLsharkman
What is everyone's opinion on fishing inline single hooks with large hard baits? Also, what size should I use on a 10 inch glide bait?
Mml420
You mean saltwater style siwash hook? I've never seen it done never thought about it I use em on salmon plugs and steelhead stuff only because we have to but I'm sure it could work not sure if you would benefit at all though
B_larkin3
To replace a 2/0 hook you’ll need a 5/0 single. You’re going to lose out on a lot of softer bites using singles vs trebles. Jean-Luc and BigBaitThirty
Jon P
Thinking about buying a few packs for rigging all of my pike baits with. trying to get three trebles out of a pikes mouth after losing your pliers is a pain in the butt. I have thought about doing the same thing, although definitely worried about my hook up ratio as it's low with pike as is. Where do you think singles would excel? Where do you think singles would excel? I'm thinking the balam and the punker mostly. They both get choked and they both are a pain to remove with three trebles. Big glides aren't as much of an issue since they don't usually manage to choke the whole thing. CG_Fishes
bigesoxlures
When replacing trebles with singles on hard baits, the main thing you should focus on is to maintain the balance of the lure. Some hardbaits keep a good swimming action regardless of what hook you use. Others will see their action degraded. You might end up having to try different sizes to see what works best on your lure.
