thedonnguyen
Ralph has hooked me and hundreds of guys up with baits we would otherwise, have no chance of getting. He's also helped me out for raffles to help with medical expenses or family crises. kilog, MA Frog Man, evilcatfish and 5 others
BlakeC
The problem is not people collecting them. the problem is the bait makers cant pump them out fast enough to keep up with the demand. so that causes the high prices and lack of people wanting to give them up. I rarely ever trade or get rid of any bait that I actually like because I never know when it will become unavailable.
SPEEDBEAD
Agreed, too many laying on shelves, but then again, River Pirate is a top shelf swimbait fisherman, best of the best. He needs all 16 of those hphs, what if 1 falls off the shelf? Gotta hav backups. Young'un, I like you but you're waaaaay off base with that.... Green weenie
It's all good for me. Just have a shad bite starting that the hph will really fill. I've had some offers but we haven't made it work. Usually don't have the right trade bait. Wes
Magic Man CP
The problem is not people collecting them. the problem is the bait makers cant pump them out fast enough to keep up with the demand. so that causes the high prices and lack of people wanting to give them up. I rarely ever trade or get rid of any bait that I actually like because I never know when it will become unavailable. Hahhhhh!!! I WISH that were the truth brother! I've been making baits longer than a lot of the "skinny jeans" guys on here have been fishing! Btw,, good one Caezar, can't agree more on that one. Anyways,, I hope I didn't just make myself sound old as hell, even though I guess reality suggests it's gonna happen at some point. Whether it's swimbaits or anything else, products do indeed take time to make, it's absolutely a process,, however I can't accept that to be the case in this instance. These things absolutely do not take that long to kick out. I've recently got into the swimbait making game, so I do kinda think I have somewhat of an insight here. What I think the issue is,, these damn pre-paid signup lists a mile long!!! When someone is prepaid, there's extremely little motivation to get their orders out. That's a fact. If you bait makers out there want to dispute this,, come at me with fact,, not some BS opinion or feeling. People are getting sick of your excuses. Look at the makers who do take payment, and the ones who don't. The demand is equally great on their products. I've personally NEVER taken payment before shipment. I'm sitting on thousands of dollars of orders rt now, and that's fine, I'll get paid when people have the confidence their baits are due to arrive. Do I have orders that have been waiting, sure, absolutely, but guess what those people feel a heck of a lot better knowing their $$$ isn't sitting somewhere, "hoping" I get around to it. It's a lot like a taxidermist taking all the money up front, vs. half. Believe me, I've heard all the arguments, I've seen it first hand. There's a way to do it, that works,, and then there's all the other ways. I'm personally sitting in limbo with HUNDREDS of $$$$ out on a couple baits, ordered last year, I can only hope will arrive, one day... Should I know better?absolutely!!! And believe me, this old stubborn bastard has learned from this, and will not be doing this again. Wanna know what sucks worse than all your money tied up,, constantly seeing guys posting pics of freshly obtained baits that you've been waiting on!!! So before you're quick to jump on one of those lists, heed this advice, pay with paypal business ONLY, and have in writing an greed time of delivery,, it'll greatlyassist you in filing your claim. Sorry for the guys in the same boat. Rod Wynn

Chaozu
I think of i like this, baits are tools. Fisherman use these tools to catch fish. It's bull$hit that fisherman can't use the tools they need because some d!ckhead has them all sitting on a shelf at home collecting dust. What if you were a carpenter and needed tools to do jobs but all the tools you needed weren't available because some prick bought them all just to buy them? That's how I see it, let the people who need them and will use them have them. Magic Man CP

River_Pirate
LOL Respond or not respond, that was the question. You guys have no clue about me or why I do what I do. You get your panties in a bunch because someone has something that you want or think you need but are unable to get it. This is my problem? This is my fault? I don't apologize for what I do with my money....ever. If a bait maker is willing to sell me a bunch of baits am I supposed to leave some behind for the next guy? You guys act like I bought 1000 of them. Hoarder? Again, when did it become your business what I do with my money? I buy dozens of baits every year. I LOVE SWIMBAITS. I have given away or sold at cost 35 Pats, 8 Hinkle shads, 2 HPHs, and tons of other baits that guys were unable to get in the last year. I have donated thousands of dollars in cash and baits to complete strangers. What have you done for others? Are you the kind of person that refuses to wait in line for something and then complains when you go there and they item was sold out? What's the lesson there? And not that I need to explain myself but for the guys that are not aware. Many garage bait makers make a bait for a while and then they stop making them...forever. If you don't get them while you can you may NEVER be able to get them at retail again. Also many garage bait makers are unable to duplicate their baits exactly from batch to batch so every batch is different. Hate me if you like, I love who I am, but I will never stop buying baits. Here's a thought, buy a new mirror and look deeper into it. Bash away, I will not respond again. Ive never heard this about guys having 20 crankbaits of the same color or buying up all the old stock wiggle warts because they wont be able to get anymore. If you want to get a bait, buy a bunch! dont have enough money to, get a better job. theres always a solution instead of crying that someone has more than you. Socialism for swimbaits! we can distribute them equally so ALL fisherman can have access to the same baits. share every gps coordinate too cuz it wouldnt be fair that someone has a fishing spot that others dont! greedy fisherman! oh yeah, dont be breathing up all my air!! thats air for everyone..... pfffftttttt Edited April 12, 2016 by Ceaser thastickybandit, Shaunfishon, basstastic27 and 5 others
