not really gonna count a snagged fish but it was fun thinking I had a bass of a lifetime on for a minute there LOL.

9" Battles shad in nightmare color is becoming my go-to night fishing bait. The moon was bright and thought that the HPH would impress the bass with its flash so I threw that for a bit as well. Caught the biggest on the HPH and second biggest on the battles shad.

I go for 9wraps on a blood knot. Goes in and out of my spool and through all the guides on casts. Been working good for me

First fish of the 2019 year and new PB.Came on the 9" Golden Shiner Slammer at 4:30 A.M. this morning.6# 6oz.

Got my first decent Hudd fish. Slow rolling the 8" Rainbow Trout and slurped it off the top two feet from shore. Went 6 lbs!

Caught my PB got way to excited and forgot to press play to get screenshots luckily I had my go pro on. Cast 2 catch to scale on my Instagram cchase_koch11

Exactly what badfish562 said he nailed it.I have the crucial up to 6 oz but really it fishes right around the 3oz perfect.

My crucial throws smaller swimbaits and A rigs well. An 8" hudd would definitely not feel very good with that rod. A 68 special hudd would be fine. Check the specs here https://www.tackledirect.com/shimano-crcs711hb-crucial-b-swimbait-casting-rod.html In my experience (differs on make) when looking at lure rating, say a rod is 1-5 oz rated, using a 1 oz would not feel good nor would a 5 oz. Try and aim for the middle to feel the best pairing.

no jumps, guessing its because he was hooked in the tail. it made several runs across the entire pond though! He probably pulled out 50 yards of braid with locked drag 3-4 times. My adrenaline was through the roof, definitely the biggest fish i've ever caught!

Got my first decent sb fish of the year on a glitter, purple marker stripe, and bleeding joint Mod large swaver today. It was the first time I fished this bait and gave it a little shave to improve the glide. I was amazed how well it glided and wanted to suspend. I only used it because pickeral were showing themselves and I didn't want to throw my islide and workhorse. Bud is holding my fish.
