Went out with my friend @LightsOutLitch chucking around some wakes last Sunday afternoon at a local public spot, and after 4.5 years of waiting, I finally got my new PB on a Grass and Bass (@grass_and_bass on instagram) 2pc 9in Custom Creeper. An absolutely insane catch and a monumental moment for me, and she swam off healthy to boot! Thanks to Paul for letting me borrow his WCZ board and for taking the pictures! Now I gotta break this with an absolute beast soon!

Decided that I needed to get out tonight on my day off to target bass for the first time in the past month. With my esox spots muddy and high I went to a nearby reservoir that has a good population of smallmouth with a few largemouth mixed in. As luck would have it, my first fish was a largemouth, average size for this lake And again my second fish was a largemouth. This time slightly above average but by no means a big fish for this body of water. I kept fishing and finally found some smallmouth, super dinks, but smallmouth. As the sun started to set a huge mayfly hatch started, one of the biggest I have seen. And of course, the fish went crazy over them, but they were keyed in on them. Only got one to eat the wake but it was the biggest of the night Overall happy with the trip, this wake bite should continue to improve throughout the month until it falls off a cliff in July. Excited to see what I can pull out of here, I know there are some giants hiding in the over 2000 acres

I've been too busy catching fish on this first prototype to make or test variants haha. Here are a few of the more recent, notable catches that I could find on my phone: When I have to choose between building baits or fishing after work I often choose the latter...especially when that could mean sticking another 6lber on this little bait. All in due time though. I could definitely use a topwater version or a crankdown if I'm fishing deeper water.

Mainly a shore fisherman and I just cant stop from losing baits. Lost a deps 145, multiple hudds, and a bull shad. I've been losing less baits lately but only because I've been fishing them shallower to avoids snags but I feel like that's hurting my ability to catch fish because I'm not fishing them in the spots I should be. Plug knockers are great for when im on a boat but from the shore its a lost cause sometimes. I've honestly done better on weedless softbaits because I can put em where I want them but at the same time I wanna fish all these awesome hardbaits I see on the black market. So how do you guys find that fine line between losing a bait and fishing it where it needs to be? Do I just take the loss and go home? Financially I can't really do this much longer. I'm down like 300 bucks in baits in the last month and it stopped me from fishing my bb stocker trout 250 that I really wanted to throw. lmk what you guys think. thanks su

Believe the DRT is aluminium. Never used the drt handles but own the gomexus and there defiantly comfortable.

Check out Gomexus website.I don’t know what DRT does that makes theirs worth 3x the price of this.Carbon fiber and hi-end knob bearings absolutely make for a better build but 3x?

There seems to be a lot of repetitive threads about reels in the past couple weeks. Do some searching, scrolling, and reading.

I had a Deps Z2020 and while I really enjoyed it I did end up selling it and getting an Antares DC MD to replace it. 90% of the time I was throwing a doomrider on the Z and it was great for that, and so far the Antares is as well. My favorite 300 size reel that I currently have for the applications you listed is a Grappler 300 HG. Super tank, super smooth, and just feels sturdy AF. For what you are throwing id recommend one of those or a Tranx 300 but if you went with a Z2020 you’ll be happy too.

Is it bad for a diving rat to have the knock? Is it an unnatural presentation? Seriously interested, I had not heard this take before. Nice mod, good luck with it.

If I'm unfamiliar with the water, I fish wakes or shallow crankdowns Or if it's a sinking bait I reel faster to keep them closer to the surface. It's been probably like 3 years since I lost a bait getting hung up

OP was already throwing swimbaits and getting bit. Save the cool baits for the application that they’ll work in…..especially if you’re just losing them.

Some recent additions. Stoked to try these Bandits out, they look like killer little crankdowns. Also picked up a couple more Gilliaths along with another Woodrow to add to the rat pack.
