I think it looks great. A great subtle hardbait that will get smoked. Cold water alternative for me to a soft bait, except you can get this suspend and hang. This is the action that Tomoya imparts with his 7” VTS on a 4/0 beast hook. Gets the same action and I personally saw this action get bites and result from pressured and inactive fish that wouldn’t look at a traditionally rigged hardbait or the same bait rigged weedless traditionally. The fish arrow riser jacks also have a great subtle action that gets crushed. Not sure why people think the “swim crappy” when the fish don’t seem to think so. But people say that about the hi float tks and I absolutely crush on that bait. Just my .023 points -

9lb 4oz and 8lb 8oz

I was able to catch a couple nice ones last trip out, a 9lb 4oz and a 8lb 8oz. Caught both within 30 minutes of each other and got to watch both eat on Mega Live. I thought for sure the 9lb 4oz was a DD when she hit the net, but she wasn't a couple meals shy. Trophy hunting sure is addictive....!2 points -
Luckiest Catch Ever

Had one of the craziest moments at the lake today and thought y’all would enjoy. Was out on the lake for 7 or 8 hours with nothing too interesting, a couple follows but that was it. Had been grinding it out all day with a hinkle shad @JacksonF gave me a while back. At one of the last spots of the day on a bomb cast I got clobbered on the first few turns of my handle. I set the hook hard and started to fight the fish like normal, but after a few seconds of fighting, my line snapped. My rod flew back when the line snapped, and hit my dad (and net man) square in the nose I was heartbroken id lost the hinkle and couldn’t believe it. After a few seconds of grief I heard a splash in the same spot the fish bit (about 25 yards away from the boat) and realised the fish was still there flailing around with the hinkle in its mouth. In a last ditch effort to try to recover my bait, I put the trolling motor on 10 and made my way over as fast as possible with the net in hand. At the perfect moment, the fish came up to the surface, I netted the fish with my lost bait still in its mouth, recovering my most expensive lure and getting the fish. The fish wasn’t anything crazy, just a 5lb schoolie striper, but the story was legendary. Tragically, i wasn’t filming. the video would have been epic, this is the only picture my dad got right after I netted the fish my dad was ok, nose was bleeding and swelled up a good bit though…..2 points -

What’s up SU!!! First off I wanna say how awesome it is that this is happening and shows just how strong this community is and I’m glad I’ve joined. My name is Parker I’m 18 years old and have been fishing my whole life but haven’t been swimbait fishing for very long. In fact I caught my first swimbait fish on a tk about two days ago and now I’m hooked lol. Now I wanna try different styles of baits and learn to fish in new ways I have never fished before and getting even a few of these baits would be amazing and a huge help because these things are pricey as we all know and I’m trying to save up to help pay for welding school right now. Anyway I just wanted to put my hat into the ring and hopefully get some baits to go stick some Georgia giants on. Merry Christmas and thanks SU!!2 points

Christmas Giveaway
Phil A. and one other reacted to Logan featherstone for a topic
Hey SU, my name is Logan, and I am not necessarily new to Swimbaiting, but I am still learning a lot every-time I go out and throw big baits. I am a sophomore in High school who started swimbait fishing near the start of the year. I got into the Big bait game because my local surrounding lakes are loaded with spotted bass, and scattered Largemouth. I would go out and catch a handful of 1-2 lb spotted bass, and wanted to change up my approach towards these fish. I wanted to target the biggest fish in my area and try to go for quality, instead of quantity. One thing that sparked my love is when I got to meet Oliver Ngy at a tournament on one of my surrounding lakes. I talked to him after the weigh in, and he really taught me a lot. He showed me how he had caught them, different methods, and ways of retrieval. He even took me onto his boat and showed me his arsenal. I learned a lot that day and ever since have been dipping my toes into many things big baits. I have been on SU for about a year observing whats hot on the market, watching videos of people catching massive fish, and also reading the Underground forums to better educate myself so I could be better the next time I went out. All of this gear looks amazing and it is truly special that y'all care about the next generation of Swimbait fishing. I would greatly appreciate just the opportunity to be entered into this raffle. Happy Holidays to all from, Logan Featherstone2 points -
Some bass glide catches from this year. I’m gonna be starting some new baits soon, looking for info on how specific weight placings affect the action of glide baits. Up to this point I’ve just been weighting them until they suspend/slow sink so I had no idea how they were going to swim until actually threw them. Just don’t want to spend a lot of time making a pretty bait that ends up swimming like butt. Also, I still have no idea how to clear coat, I’ve literally been using clear JB weld. Pretty that’s not how the pros do it. Any info is appreciated really. Will post again soon with new baits.1 point

New style DEPS250 SK conversion
Spencer_518 reacted to Rogervang for a topic
I did the conversion when the bait was first released. I chopped off the portion on the bait with the weight and split it in half to remove it. Then epoxy everything back together. Not sure if you have the spring and ball bearing in it but I left all those other components and it swam just as good as any other 250s.1 point -

Christmas Giveaway
Jim137a reacted to porkmeatballs for a topic
Hello everyone! Although I have been lurking around this site for quite some time now, I would still consider myself to be relatively new to swimbaiting compared to quite a few of the people on this forum. I have definitely learned a lot about throwing big baits since I joined Swimbait Underground and have enjoyed reading about and applying different techniques on my own bodies of water. I started off throwing smaller paddle tail swimmers at a private lake a couple years back, but began taking an interest in the larger swimbaits after joining SU and seeing Bassmaster articles about Triple Trout, PB rat, and Roman Made. At the time I was amazed at the fact that a bass would try to eat baits of that size. However, after spending more time on SU and seeing all the giant fish that people were catching on swimbaits, I realized how effective this mode of fishing could be. I slowly started upsizing the swimbaits that I threw and transitioned from exclusively throwing tiny paddle tails to also throwing hard-body swimmers, glides, and topwaters. All along the way I would either throw swimbaits that I found on the ground or try to make my own as I didn't have the means to buy them. Thankfully, I was eventually blessed with the opportunity to obtain better materials to craft my own swimbaits. I would spend many hours on SU learning about different baits and their actions in order to attempt to create a swimbait that would suit my own needs at the locations that I fished. Swimbait building has been a wild ride for me, but has also grown my love for this special area of fishing. I caught my biggest fish on a swimbait and I'm sure that I will continue to catch even bigger ones in the future if I continue to chuck the big baits. I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone on this forum for creating an awesome community that shares such an amazing passion for this sport! I am currently a college student, but will be graduating pretty soon! Since I have the resources to create my own swimbaits, I wouldn't necessarily need any baits being donated for the giveaway. That being said, my rod and reel setup is a different story. I currently use an Irod Jr. Swim Gen 2 paired with an old Quantum Exo that has served me extremely well. I have used this setup to catch an extremely wide variety of fish from tiny bluegill to big largies to giant stripers. Both rod and reel were actually generously gifted to me years ago and opened the doors for me to throw swimbaits that were quite substantially larger than the average Storm paddle tails. Since they are the only suitable rod and reel that I have had for the swimbaits that I throw consistently, I use them on every single fishing outing. Unfortunately my reel seems to finally be going on the blink and has recently been locking up badly and making grinding noises. I have tried my best to open, clean, and fix it, but the problems continue. In short, I would like to know if I would be eligible to be a candidate for just the reel that @dislexic1 is so graciously donating since I am not sure how long my Quantum will last. The rod could be sent to someone else, as my Jr. Swim still functions well enough. Thank you so much for your time and consideration!1 point -

I can't thank you all enough for your donations to this, it means a lot to me to have this going so well! REMINDER, if you want to be eligible for some baits please make a post in this thread about why you deserve to get them. Must be new-ish to the game, have a need/use for these baits and have gear that can handle it. @AsaProch you're in, glad you've joined us lol!1 point

This is Kurt’s mom. He is a 14 yo child and I am in absolute disgust at the way you people are talking to a kid. Kurt is home schooled and I allow the swimbait underground because I saw it as a positive social experience. As far as his character I will not even bite on this as he is a fantastic kid and to Chris I have paid u no problem and I see how petty all u are on here. These are "not allowed" fishing lures that you grown men are attacking a child about. How about this any further "not allowed" discussing you all can contact me directly at 4782886807. I will be available for any phone calls as I do not prefer to keyboard warrior like a "not allowed" 10 yo child. "Not Allowed" all of u and u all should "not allowed" be ashamed of yourselves. Please feel free to call me and pick on someone with an adult mental "not allowed" capacity and I’ll show you what my character is.1 point -

Got a 250, caught one fish on it and then lost it at the local lake. All of my 250s have been cast off at one point or another besides one. I currently have an OG OG first year production Biwa Masu in a pond, and another one in a pond but it's more easily retrievable, like for sure for sure.1 point
