Caught this big girl up shallow burning the Goblin Citizen 7 (WCZ) as she was stalking some bluegill!! Using a Daiwa 300 with a DRT 150 mm handle, on a Leviathan Rods XH Omega. Looks like she’s getting ready to do her thang pretty soon!! Hoping to get a couple more like this one…but BIGGER lol!!

Got mine today

My garage is a bit of a mess and my main kayak is underneath a ton of gear. Time for a bit of a clean before spring comes!

In all seriousness, Gilbert has been teasing us with that Tyrant all last year. He hinted at dropping it before the end of last year, obviously that didn't happen. I'm sure we will see the plethora of Citizen and Battles Shad drops this year. What else do we need? His hats don't fit my big ass head, I just deal with it.

The real question is do I fish it or use it as decor lol

Correct. The handles are virtually the same other than the looks. The knobs are totally different. Livre makes different sizes as well that drt doesn’t put out like the 120mm. All of the livre knobs that I have messed around with don’t come apart like the drt knob assemblies. They are usually just one solid piece plus the bearings. Also a lot of newer reels come with the same size and style shafts that the livre and Drt handles have. So you can just swap whatever knob assemblies you want directly on to the original handles.

Someone posted a pic of the drop colors on another page. Had two guys proceed to tell me that k9s are a sinking baits and that hi = float and low = sink. Said “all my other k9s sink”. You got some k9 issues man…haha

Got this bait done! Cost me a bit of blood and scar tissue on my finger, and messed up a couple things, but it came out well! I drilled the lead holes on the wrong side of the bait like a total numbskull, sliced my finger real bad while doing gill detail, and more. But the end result is pretty good for a second bait! So I started off the day chasing crappie but had my swimbait stuff with me as plan b. Fish forward to a couple hours in and I'm hooked up with about a 10" bass, I'm bringing it in until I see a big fish take a swipe at it. Say this point I'm freaking out but I calmed down quick enough to tell my friends to come over and throw. By the time they got there the small bass shook the hook so I throw out my magdraft and a few casts later the fish comes up and eats it right at my feet. Crazy way to start the year for sure

Woke up late yesterday but decided to give the local spot a shot! Been catching some nice 4-6 lbers lately but just haven’t capitalized on that 8+ lber! Saw that the moon was out and remembered ole Butch Brown saying if that moon is out then there’s better things to do lol. Decided to go out with my fiancé and send it anyway. Ended up catching this stud slow rolling the Citizen 7 in Heckler up a drop off into some lay down brush! This 8.20 lb bass smoked it as it rolled over some lay down structure. Also caught another 6.30 lb stud deep cranking the Full Moon TK. Started fishing the big baits in early 2022 and had the best year of my life fishing and 2023 is looking pretty dang solid so far as well!!

It would take the right group of people to truly do a swimbait magazine that everyone could find some benefit from reading. That said… I’m with @Mossyback Angleron flipping through pages. I’m pushing 50 so I’m set in my ways I guess. I still have Dirt Bike magazines dating as far back as 1984 along with decades of Bassmaster magazines.
