Just landed. Gonna try and add more teeth marks to it. I'm not used to fishing gills this big but this'll force me get outta my comfort zone

Not wasting an hour+ of my life listening to that... He actually attempted to follow me on IG recently with his new account and we messaged back and forth for a little bit and he hasn't changed, so had to block him again. Many many others in the swimbait community share my opinion on the man and he's just trying to save face at this point imo.

From somebody that got into big baits well after all the ish went down and somebody that was never crossed by him, that was a sick episode and gotta give him respect for owning all that ish from the past. I'd be onboard to give his baits a shot now after hearing how he goes about his business and reflects on his past with the community.

I did. I won’t get into the first cast big bass debacle lol. Those who follow me on IG know how my rookie mistake cost me a big one. But on the 3rd cast I managed to stick a little fat 3 lb chunk. Weather and water levels were my enemy. But I caught plenty of keepers (15”+) which was unusual for me with a bait this size. It’s usually quality over quantity when I’m throwing 8” baits with such a large profile. I had the quality on…but didn’t land it. I was genuinely impressed with this bait.

If they’ll do it once…. In my experience most small fishing businesses have terrible turn around times. Went back and read as much as I could before my face was permanently stuck cringing. If that’s how he chooses represent him self, that’s all I need to know. goes on and on about how he still has customers after screwing over multiple people.

Been struggling lately but finally put a few in my new boat and it was on my fav waking gill that just seems to get bit for mid day under blue bird skies. If your looking for a subtle waking gill at a great price hit @Jinxd12up here or IG @Bc.bait.co last year his bait put up some really high quality NJ bass for me and it looks like this year is gonna be just as good. Little brother was itching to try out a new rod and reel combo I put together for his birthday so we drove out to a new spot that's been popping off this spring. He caught squat but I got my new PB smallie! Pitching the Deka Dodge crawler to submerged timber where the reservoir was refilling and got a blowup so big I immediately assumed it was a large pike! Didn't even think it was a bass til I flipped it through the floating debris on the shoreline to the bank. Previous PB was just 3.76 so this is a sizeable upgrade! Not to mention that it's not the biggest smallmouth in this lake. Upper size class for sure, but we're expecting to see bigger fish get caught in the future from this spot.

Got out to an urban pond near me looking for largies. Fished the TK's a little bit here and there with no success. Used a medium fast crankbait retrieve and this thing nailed it. Terrible picture but I wasn't trying to flip this thing and lose a bait. Felt good to feel a heavy tug, been slow fishing this year with the big baits

Nick always been a solid dude to me. I’ve bought multiple baits off him and will continue supporting him. Don’t feed into the drama and get yourself a dope bait!!

Just do a search and devote some time to reading all The post and stuff that happened, was a few years back (3 maybe now)

I’m new to the glide bait scene, but I’m absolutely hooked. Truthfully I transitioned from saltwater to bass fishing April 2022. So I’m new to all of this! It isn’t my overall PB, but my biggest to date after losing a true giant last May at OH Ivie!

More tracers made and available green red and pink tried to do reflective and glow in the dark was sent the wrong material so that will be post poned

I made a few frog wakes, but incorporated the legs into the design.

Just arrived today. Gonna fish it this weekend and if it checks out well on the water I’ll have to snag a 300MD also. The handle on it is really nice and the knobs are a lot bigger in person so definitely happy with that part too.

Listened to the episode and it was actually pretty cool. Good stories and other stuff about painting and bait making.

From meeting 6+ years ago he has only helped me grow as a person and is like an older brother to me now more than anything. Everyone and their opinions, like what business in the world has a perfect reputation... none. When running your own business I can only imagine how difficult it is maintain a perfect interface and relationship with every customer. The guys who personally know nick, honestly know the type of guy he is because it speaks for itself. I only wish that positive things come from this post as fisherman truly are missing out on some of the best looking, best swimming, affordable big baits on the market.

On the lower end around the $200 you have Phenix M1 SMX-C 711MH Inshore, Irod Kaimana SWK804. If you want to spend a little more you can step up to a Megabass Levante Leviathan

Those look killer, I had a version one with hard legs but want to try and maybe mold some silicone ones, I like the added movement and lifelike mess of the rubber legs

Awesome thanks. In the past a friend of mine had showed me a cool rig to convert a line through to a top hook, but I was eating them up if o used to small a split ring. I just grabbed some of the new 6th sense line though heads, and so far they have worked great. I do worry about throwing a bait with it though.

I would suggest just picking up a Ryoga Shrapnel if you're gonna go big like a Black Sheep. More modern and easier to find parts for if you ever need it.

Savage Gear Magnum Shine Glide: readily available ($28ish on TW last I checked), smooth glide, good colors, gets bit. Definitely NOT a hype bait so you won't get props from the social media crowd but it works. (Edit: $30)
