It’s been a rough 3 weeks- a few bites but 0 fish. I was chopping the K9 in glide mode around a lit fountain at dusk and BAM T BONE! Shy of 5 lbs but for my first K9 fish EVER, I’ll take it! question: what’s the “proper” way to measure length (on a bass- get your mind out of the gutter) top lip on the line or bottom lip?

Had an amazing trip last week and caught my 5th DD at 10lb even! Also caught a 9lb, three 8lbers and a 7lb (the rest were < 6lb). The 10lb cleared the water a foot right at the boat, it was a fight I won't forget! I've been focused on hunting trophy bass for almost 10 years now and this trip is what makes all the work, time and money worth it! Sorry for all the pics, but I'm a little pumped that God blessed me and the stars lined up...lol.

I did sell it a few months back. My biggest knock on the rod was that it was light but til heavy for my taste. In addition I bought a rare MOAM custom stick that I really liked better, so one had to go. My other Citizen 6 and 7 rod is a Raid Gladiator Undertaker.

Unfortunately you gotta buy a bunch of stuff to try it but once you find something that works stop looking. Stop buying baits that do the same ish but slightly different, “this one slaps water this one sloshes” type stuff. Find a solid thumping crank down(there is some variability depending on target depth) a responsive glide bait/swimmer, a wake that makes noise and moves water. When you find what you like or what works for you buy spares and quit convincing yourself that it if has a slightly different joint style it might work better.

Brought this back from the dead 2 weeks ago. Need a shad bait sometimes and a couple buddies asked about this so here are some updates. Bait ended up being to skinny in the rear section to comfortly and confidently cut and install a tail. So I poured the bait in 1/2s and made it wider, cleaned up the carvings a bit and it came out awesome. TK worked like a jerkbait was the hot bait today. 42 degree water temp.

Some bass glide catches from this year. I’m gonna be starting some new baits soon, looking for info on how specific weight placings affect the action of glide baits. Up to this point I’ve just been weighting them until they suspend/slow sink so I had no idea how they were going to swim until actually threw them. Just don’t want to spend a lot of time making a pretty bait that ends up swimming like butt. Also, I still have no idea how to clear coat, I’ve literally been using clear JB weld. Pretty that’s not how the pros do it. Any info is appreciated really. Will post again soon with new baits.

Well I finally molded this master lol need to gloss the master better for a smoother shiny cast. Also may change the pour hole location to make it easier for a insert to be added to the mold. Overall it came out OK for now. Biggest issue I've run into is denting towards the head of the bait. Thinking I'm pouring to hot. 10/0 beast hook fits good
