  1. Had similar situation dealing with a Wake snake maker. Took almost 2 years. After several attempts(over several weeks) to contact maker I just opened a dispute with paypal and was shortly contacted by the maker with a "WTF" email like I had done something irrational. Long story short I eventually got my bait. In all fairness it was exceptional. If you have trouble open a dispute and NEVER CLOSE IT UNTIL SETTLED! Has always worked for me. You have 180 days from date of purchase and the seller has 20 days to make it right. 200 days is more than reasonable. To many talented makers out there with killer baits to be dealing with nonsense. Anytime you FF on paypal you have given away all leverage for actually getting what you paid for.
  2. Not terribly concerned about the colors.
  3. I just made another run if anybody is interested in swapping. Let me know
  4. I just ordered another wake jr last pre-sale at $150 and thought that was getting steep. $399 is laughable, but that's the beauty of free market. Market price. Reminds me of "Market price" at restaurants. I think you'll find (at least I have in my case) his soft baits out produce almost any hard bait I have ever fished. Hell, If I wasn't on a teacher's budget I would probably buy one.
  5. You will need vent holes at any small appendages. Err on the side of more rather than less. Something that I have found in small baits is that the type of plastic is everything. Also look to a higher durometer silicone for injecting or look to vac 50 for making a good injection mold.
  6. So after much debate I’ve finally decided to let go of what I’ve held onto for several years. A soft glidebait line-through. I’ve been making these for quite sometime. It has been a love hate relationship but I believe I have them ready for the public. What you see is what I’m willing to get rid of currently. I also have a few more options coming in the near future but aren’t quite ready (larger size, and weedless options) colors are limited to white, black-ish, pink and chartreuse. Ideally im looking to trade for other grassroots baits. I’m a school teacher and I want to inspire others to push the envelope in bait making. This journey has been fun but I want to share it with others. A swim video can be seen on my Instagram @david__cody Specs: 5.3 inches long tuneable sink rates ss to floating any questions feel free to shoot me a message.
  7. Custom softbait box. any kind of wire racks from Lowe’s is what I hang most hard baits on. I think for Hudd s the peg board is the best option. Smaller baits I keep in a Tupperware box. None of my organization is pretty but it works for me. I like to grab and go. That wood paneling in MA Frog Man’s tackle room takes me back to some old school 70’s porn tapes. Swimbait porn. Brown chicken brown cow.
  8. They are a good looking bait. I have handled several and they seemed to be well constructed. Several sticks around here throw them. Many of which you can watch on saturday and sunday mornings. Matt has taken my entry fee a few times over the past few years. Go for it.
  9. Looking good, is that clay on the head?
  10. Most productive color for me. This Cat nipped the back hook boatside but I will say it catches here in the dirty.
  11. 10" Sport Floater Dark Trout This is from the recent release. I fished it for one day. Floater and it comes with the original box. No trades. Paypal only. Need the money. PM Offers. I can ship today before 2:30. If after 2:30 pm it will go out tomorrow.
  12. I've done 2 boats so far. One tracker similar to yours and a fiberglass recently. Neither was that bad just plan ahead. I would go with a aluminum tray (I built my first one and didn't like it) and cut what you need to cut. You can make a template for gussets out of cardboard and then have a local shop cut them (water jet or plasma) for a little cash or you can buy some aluminum plate and make your own. This will tie everything back together. Mechanical fasteners and not rivets. Ceaser is very right. Once you have one you will never do without again.
  13. Lets be clear, their was no backing out on an order. It was contingent upon completion of one bait first and it was rolled into the deal I made with you about me dropping my paypal claim. The only security I had for my purchase. Which I did in good faith. I've asked for a refund several times. I emailed you last on Aug 17th with no response. You were active on here (SU) the 19th as I remember. It has been 172 days since this began. I have been patient with you. This has been the first contact you have gotten back to me on since July 31. This is FOR the community. I tried to resolve this privately on several occasions. This is not a smear campaign or and attack, just facts. Admins, I won't keep beating a dead horse. Thanks for the help guys!
  14. I just wanted to bring this to other folks attention as I don't want anyone else to get ripped off like I have been. I ordered a custom bait (Snake King Wakesmith) on March 3rd 2017 for $167 form Justin Bloxton aka. Swimbaitunderground user - Bigbaitthirty, aka Juicy Customz. I was given a time frame of 4 to 6 weeks. After around 12 weeks I made multiple attempts to contact him. No response at all. Very shortly after I opened a paypal dispute he magically got back to me. After him explaining his situation I, in good faith, dropped the paypal dispute as he promised me my bait was under construction and he would be finished soon. Contact was okay for a short time with numerous promises I still don't have a bait and he has gone MIA again. I've given the opportunity to him for a refund, snake bait, or a bait of equal value. Nothing has happened. I have kept quiet long enough and Justin has taken advantage of it for to long. I want to put this out to the community so NO ONE ELSE falls into this trap. At this point I have given up on my bait or my money. I've attached some texts, emails and a receipt. Theirs many more emails but I feel like the info I have posted is sufficient. Once again BUYER BEWARE
  15. I'm having trouble sourcing eyes in and around the 1/2 inch range for my softbaits. Anyone have any luck finding these?
  16. Top Hook RS for sure. I'd also throw a big spoon (8-9 inch) This year I cant buy a bite on a slow moving bait since the water has hit 86-86 degrees.
  17. Murphy, B., & Prorok, P. (1992). In pursuit of giant bass. El Cajon, CA: Giant Bass Pub.
  18. Got out last week to try my luck. Finally found a job that caters to my fishing. Rising son and Megabass Mag Slowl did a good bit of damage but finally put my very own softbait to work. Stayed off those bedding fish to hunt that post/prespawn bite. I love chasing those Carolina Spotted bass. https://youtu.be/0I9DycbeFtg Spring Break Swimbaits* <----- Irony
  19. Welcome from NC. Highest of highs and lowest of lows. No other kind of fishing has ever been as disappointing or REWARDING to me as SB fishing. Lot of great info on this site. Enjoy the journey!
  20. Flash Carp not Flarp. Forgot to mention I'm looking for a 303
  21. 1 Flash Farp BNIB 1 Butch Brown Bass, I bought it from another member who said he just changed the hooks but never fished it. 1 Nude Black has been fished and has a great glide. Funding a new bait purchase. These need to be fished. $300 for the lot buyer pays fees I'll cover shipping. Open to trades. PM offers.
  22. Thanks man. I appreciate it. I'm still learning the gopro. Can somebody tell me how to post the video so it shows on the page instead of just the link? I'm missing something.
