At what point do you consider a body of water non conducive for big swimbaits? And how big does a body of water have to be for yall to feel comfortable throwing a 250/mother, and not feel like you are just wasting your time. Thanks SU!

I have a lexa 400 sized pwr handle i took off and replaced with a carbon fiber handle. I dont have the bolt or cap but if you have a 400 right now it should fit. 15 shipped for the handle, pm me for pics

id check the true tensile strength of the flro, lot of them have a much lower tensile strength then advertised. Went through about 5 different ones before finding a solid fluoro leader line.

I had one and sold it within a week, idk if I got a flimsy one but it was way too soft and felt so uneasy about throwing anything over 3 ounces. I now have a okuma guide select and its a much better rod imo -

Its real easy for your excitement to take over when fishing with the rat, especially when you throw it for a while before getting a bite....i try an leave a lil slack in the line so it buys me time to reel up the slack then set the hook... Other wise i get too excited an set the hook rightaway and loose it lol

How do yall feel about feathers? Do you think they hide hooks? Give off a more realistic look? Or do you think they look flat out silly an cut them off?

I added fur texture with dry brush stroke of white and grey to mine an epoxied it, the paint is very weak. Also put boar hair for whiskers, thought it came out pretty good 👌

The lure is functional, i have missed a few out of pure excitment but will cast back an walk the dog an they tear it up. I think the tail gets in the way
