  1. Congratulations on your new personal best bass.
  2. I live in South Florida where there is no winter. I catch big bass every month of the year and can only imagine how miserable it has to be to have your favorite lake frozen for several months every year. Would probably have to ice fish if I lived up north since I enjoy fishing whenever I want.
  3. I throw 1-4 ounce swimbaits on inshore spinning rods/size 4000-5000 spinning reels...the same rods I use to catch +40'' inch snook which fight much harder than any largemouth bass alive. As for swimbait bass fishing look at my avatar picture of the 9.97 pound bucketmouth I caught this way. Have caught other big bass with these inshore rods so it is safe to say you can throw 1-2 ounce swimbaits on most decent heavy action rods these days.
  4. Some travel rod I found on eBay.
  5. Congratulations on your new personal best spotted bass.
  6. Thank you for responding. That swimbait looks like it might do well in South Florida for bass and snook.
  7. What is the name of the soft swimbait on the left?
  8. Looks like it might be a good bait for snook
  9. I throw my swimbaits on 30-50 pound braid or 20-25 pound mono.
  10. It probably was a bad idea for those who bet swimbaits on some game...lol
  11. Swimbaits catch more than just largemouth bass that is for sure. Have caught snook, tarpon, jack crevalle, barracuda, and other species of fish with them. Will not be surprised if someone catches a big tuna or other big pelagic fish on swimbaits.
  12. I do not fish bass on beds unless it is one I think is over 10 and even then I will think about it. These where free range fish from public waters. They where nice bass but nothing out of the ordinary for Florida standards. With that said it beats being at home watching the tv. Check my avatar picture. That is the bucketmouth of a 25.5 inch, 9.97 pound bass I caught on a swimbait. Have caught bigger ones than that one...time on the water is more valuable than time online.
  13. Hopefully it catches as good as it looks
  14. Went bass fishing today and caught lots of nice bass. My top 5 bass today had a combined length of +105 inches with the biggest one being a 23 incher. Going to eat a nice meal now and maybe so some cardio later. Beats being at home watching the tv.
