  1. Being ghosted for a month is pretty bad. What did u pay with? PayPal ff? If u payed g&s, just file the claim and move on. If u paid ff, go to your bank or credit card that was used, tell them that u bought something and it never delivered. They should take it from there. I was scammed once years ago paying ff. I skipped going to PayPal because they won't help u if u sent it ff. But I went to my credit card company and they gave me a temporary refund. They then contact the seller to get proof that the item shipped or got delivered. Of course the scammer has no proof, so my refund went from temporary to a permanent refund. That was the only time I ever got scammed paying with ff and that's what worked for me. Then give an honest feedback of your experience on the seller's feedback and contact the su staff so they're aware of what happened. In the future, try to buy only from solid reputable members or else don't use ff. If someone has little to no feedback, only pay gs or check for references first. Usually a reputable person who knows them will vouch. If all else fails, just pass. There will always be other baits. Good luck to u bro
  2. 1 month and ghosted? Trade or did u buy something? @Elijahsok
  3. I have his little gramps, uncle Joe and big gramps. I throw the big grandpas on an xp 867, 30 lb izorline xxx. The unc and little are thrown on ldc xxh workshop, 25 lb test. 20 lb test would be fine too, but like u, I mainly target striper, so I beef up the line because I'm hoping I'd get bit by a 20+ lber
  4. I believe it's the line tie placement and flat bottom that allows it to ride up on the surface versus digging into the waves. I think if you're looking for a silent walker they fit what you're looking for. Of course too much chop will ruin any walking bait but these fair a little better in some minor to moderate chop
  5. Finnbait customs little grandpa. Wood, and he stands by his work. In my experience, when there is some choppy waters, these walk better in compared to punkers. If it's too choppy punkers can't really walk properly.
  6. It depends how u like to fish them. I've seen some people prefer slower reels for glides. For myself I prefer faster reels for glides as I like to fish them aggressive. Reel chops and rod bumps....erratic, especially at night
  7. Generally I go for faster reels, but it does depend on the baits u use and your style of fishing. If you're fishing big lipped baits with lots of resistance, u want a slower reel. For glides, soft baits and swimmers I like faster reels. Those are just my preference I didn't love the tranx300, but I do love the 200 and 400 size. It's subjective though, you'd have to decide for yourself. I don't have experience with the tat. If you're in it for the long run, and have the funds, u should get the best u can afford. That's not to say a less expensive reel won't take care of u but there are some good higher end reels that will last forever if u take care of them. For line, invizx for flouro, izorline xxx for copoly. 15 lb test up to 30 lb test, they've been good to me so I never had a reason to try other brands.
  8. Ok makes sense now, I was confused lol. No worries. That's a sick color too btw
  9. Just trying to help u out. U asked a question and I happen to come across the post and answered it.
  10. I don't believe gullys reel repair will scam u. He was a little slower with me too but I got my reels. I sent him 3 reels, then 2 reels and the first 3 got returned faster. The second pair was a couple weeks longer but I got them
  11. I might be the only guy to say this but.....I don't have any science or rhyme n reason behind my rat bites. I just throw them because it's one of my favorite baits to fish. Waking, walking, cranking, slow roll, burn pause, parallel to shore, around cover, open water, calm, windy, morning, mid day, night, clear, overcast, foggy, rain,....I've caught rat fish during all those conditions. From prespawn thru late fall. Consider them of course but don't get way too hung up on conditions and structure and other factors. Sometimes u just gotta throw it when it doesn't even make sense to do so Only thing I haven't done is dead sticking. I don't let a bait sit too long because it's not my style and I'm impatient.
  12. What date did u pay for the items? And how long has it been since? What communication after payment did you two have? As a general statement, not about Pat, but just in general, i feel even a good solid member can drop the ball and it's fine. They will make it right. But at least the accuser should give details of their transaction. So for example if it has been 3 weeks since payment and Pat goes dark, then I wouldn't blame the buyer's frustration. I've done several deals with Pat before with zero issues too btw But I'd like more detail on the situation....
  13. Lead tape wrapped around the hook shanks, lead tape on the underside, or grenade weights, metal wire wrapped around hook shank. There are several options to try and see which u like best The easiest, that costs a little more, is to buy several size grenade weights and they clip onto hook hangers. U can put on the different sizes to get the sinkrate you desire. They clip on and off easily and is the fastest method on the go
  14. Are you gonna remove the hooks on the top one?
  15. I don't have a ton of experience with them but I have fished both. Because of the tail u can be more aggressive with the sentinel, stability and balance is better from what I've seen.
  16. It's a pizz beast mode glide. 8" and and 7.2 oz. He has floating and sinking versions
  17. Pb on the mini trucha for me, before a striper took it away from me =(
  18. Long handles get in the way. They bump into the seat or into my side and thigh lol. When standing it's fine. It's when sitting and casting around that it feels like a shorter rod and handle would ge better. Standing is an issue because of drifting so u can't do it long without getting out of position. I don't have a spot lock motor or anything so u gotta stay seated to constantly adjust the rudder, pedal backwards or forward and what not. Because retrieving a bait will pull your nose toward the bait and pull the whole kayak toward the bait. Especially a lipped bait.
  19. I loved long rods and long handles since I started swimbaiting. Was mainly shore banging for 5+ yrs but damn, now I'm on a kayak, man....the long handles are now a hindrance a lot of times. Sucks because I feel like I dialed in my setups for all my different baits.
  20. I don't love it but it worked. And the bait got repaired and drilled by Paul and he made it a true floater now. So preferably I would rather to buy a true floater if I could versus using the foam And at night it don't matter but during the day it may or may not turn a fish off.
  21. There are foam strips u can use too. I forget the name, but I'm sure u can use any foam tape. I had an xss beast mode glide that I wanted to float and I had to use the foam. But some end up peeling off and I'd have to reapply new pieces after I let the bait dry at home. U can see the foam in the pics and how some were coming off. U can see how much I used in the second pic how much foam I used. It aint pretty but the fish didn't care. Excuse the busted joint pin, it's since been fixed
