Been out of action since November due to a knee injury. First day back on the water and I got hammered by this 6 pound peacock off a bed on the sludeswimmer 175. When it flared and raised its dorsal fin, one reel twitch that sent the glide into it's face was enough to trigger a bite. Now to track down a deps 250 and try to get a 16 pounder to do the same thing

Got the new Rago 5” cha cha glide. It’s more like 6” but I’m happy about it. Stock hooks come super sticky. Because of how light the bait is it’s gonna feel weird throwing it on your 8ft x heavy so use an old frog rod or something. Medium speed retrieve with twitches each turn catches fish

Finally made it to the seven pound club today with this fall slug that clocked in at 7-0 and 21.75 inches, the girth on this fish was unreal, I couldn’t wrap my hand around her tail fully.

So I decided to make my own bait a few weeks ago. This is my first and is pretty rough. I’m going to test the action tomorrow. It swam pretty good in my pool. I just need more space for testing. Any constructive criticism is appreciated. Thanks SU!

Do any white perch pattern glide baits exist? If not that would be pretty sweet.

Hey dudes just dropping by again to share a new swimbait model i finally got to a point where i feel like its good enough to be releases. This bait is basically an evolution from a shad glide bait that i made 3 years ago, i always liked the action of that bait but i always felt the details could have been done little better, so here we are with a new and improved shad 2.0 The shad is 10" and weighs 8.6oz

What's up SU. I am looking for a decent glide bait rod to throw anything from phoney shads to s-wavers and arashi glides. I have an okuma guide select for the Huds and that thing is a broom stick. Definitely need a glide bait rod. what would be the best one for 160$ or under?

I am very new to Swimbait Underground and swimbait making in general, and was wondering if anybody could lend some tips on casting resin baits. I have Alumalite high strength 2 for the mold and am familiar with Rtv silicone and was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction for a mixture of micro balloons to resin and where to pour the lead. Thanks, John

After spending too much time with details, molds, foiling, paint on a glide bait that I didn't know if I could get it to swim right, I decided to make this one a bit more simple. I learned a lot from the first one so I won't count it as a loss. Here it is, I wanted to resemble the shape of pike minnow, but I think it can be painted to look like anything. I used Pine wood for the first time and ended up having issues drilling the holes straight from the top to bottom because of wood grain. I even ended up making a jig to hold it correct but the drill bit would start bending around the grain. Not sure how to avoid this in the future. It looks a little front heavy in this picture but I realized after the hook was super glued to the hook keeper. I didn't take a picture after but it was pretty well balance and slow sinking. Short swim vid of it. Not really happy with the swim, I am going to try and widen the swim a little, I used a 30 degree angle cut for the hinge.

I am an avid swimbait fisherman in southern Michigan, I was wondering if any of you also chuck big swimbaits in Michigan. And if so what? and any tips for chucking big swimbaits/glide baits around hydrilla and submerged grass?

Caught this smallie on the Deps slide swimmer 175 in Butch Brown hatchery trout, it came out of about 20 feet of water and followed it until i turned the bait around, then it thumped it. it was the biggest one of the day at about 3.25 pounds. got a couple more bites and a little 2 pounder, also on the slide swimmer. Definitely gave me some more confidence in throwing these big baits for smallmouth.

I've been trying to find a good shad glide bait for a really long time. I would get a 316 but their never in stock and I cant find anyone selling one. Any recommendations?

I would love to pick up a 230 but I’ve talked to 3 or 4 guys who have had theirs fill with water. Right now the only bigger glide I have is the SS 250 because I mostly fish jointed baits so I’m looking to expand my glide collection. If anybody has any feedback on the jointed claw 230 please let me know. I don’t want a frail bait because I mostly fish docks so baits do get hit every now and again

Hello all, I’m looking to trade my spro bbz-1 trout for an S waver 200. The spro is in 9.5/10 condition (it’s only blemish being a very small spot where paint is missing on one of the joints). I don’t really care what color the S waver is (Warden hitch and lite trout are my favorite two colors). Please shoot me an email if you’re interested. Thingsandstuff2424@gmail.com

Has anybody used trapper tackle hooks on their swimbaits? I recently put some on a spro BBZ-1 floater and am just curious what other people think of them
