So I have this 9” suicide glide. I love the action, and I got it on a good deal at my local tackle shop. BUT, I got it in clear lake hitch. (Was only color left) So now I want to repaint to a rainbow trout pattern. My question is what do I need to prep for paint? Sand? Acetone? Just spray right on it?

Everyone comment below which scenarios you would use your hard baits or glide baits in, and what scenarios you would use your soft baits in. Example: Hard baits for springtime along weed edges and weed beds, Soft baits in summer for burning, and soft baits in winter for bottom bouncing. Just say the time of year, where to fish, and why. (Also, if you want to get very specific, specify the size of bait as well).

Over the past year I've really gotten into swimbait fishing. I purchased a rod and reel with some Huddlestons, Jackall, and megabass swimbaits and absolutely love doing it. I want to step up my game however. I've looked into the Deps slide swimmer 175 and the Roman Made Negotiator. In anyone's opinion which would be a better go to bait to buy. I can't buy both since I have a limited budget. Any imput helps. Thanks.
