I caught my old PB of 9 pounds and 4 ounces in 2005, the last couple of years I’ve really made it my goal to catch a 10 pounder, and yesterday everything felt right so I headed to the lake and threw a hudd and Deps 250 all day, it started out cold and I didn’t catch my first fish until about 3:00 and it was a 3.76, quickly caught another one that went 7.66, I was pretty happy with as slow as it had been all morning...but about 5:30 I was almost back to the ramp when I threw across a big lay down tree and had my last bite of the day.

When I first got her into the boat I knew she was big but didn’t think she was  long enough to go 10...she wasn’t, she weighed 9.90. I tried my best to take some decent pictures but I was by myself and then I let her go to hopefully gain another ounce and a half before we meet again. She was a beautiful fish, actually the same length as the 7.66 but one of the fattest fish I’ve ever seen.
