Top Ramen
Lay it on a towel and use a small screw driver. Give it a few taps, turn it over and work the other side. Once it comes lose a bit, it's easy to pop the rest of the way out. bdpettit and Zack Carscaddon
monsterpondbass
All im doing is chipping paint off the bullet? How does this come out? Top Ramen
Tap gently, take your time. Put the screwdriver at the edge of the weight and angle it so you are applying force away from the body of the bait. Mine took 6-8 taps on each side to come loose but some pop out right away. The towel helps because it allows the weight to move out away from the bait. If you lay it on a hard surface, you're just pushing the other side of the weight into something that won't move. mjaygrunt
Use a thin screw driver..a lil bigger than the size you would use for tightening a pair of glasses...place the weighted portion of the bait under hot water before you bang away. This causees the glue to give a lil. Zack Carscaddon
JustinHill
I used splitring pliers. Put the part with the point in between the lead and the plastic squeze amd it will pop loose then pull down.
monsterpondbass
Well my hands are bleeding, and the weight is ruined, but I got it!!! Thanks boys. @Deps, there should be a much easier system than this to add and remove a weight. basskickinrednick
timcauliffe
The weight looks fine to me. Mine took a few taps on each side before I could pop it out. Later glued it back in on the boat with the super glue and hooked 2 in a row.

TheGoodCat
Shame on me for asking but what's the purpose of removing the nose weight?
Top Ramen
Shame on me for asking but what's the purpose of removing the nose weight? To change the rate of fall, so that it sinks more slowly. If hot water works to loosen it, then that's the way to go. I tried a heat gun on mine and it started to take the paint off almost immediately, so don't try that.
