wiswimbait
Wisconsin public television had a program on last night where a guy was picking maitake (same as a ramshead, hen of the woods, etc...) and selling them to local restaurants. So I was doing some reading on them. I might look for some this year. Morels are the only type I've really tried for.

Dogmatic
LOL, Dammit!! Seriously though, I got into finding Rams Head 'shrooms last year. They go by a bunch of names but they look like this: Yes, those kind of shrooms, and "rams head" or "sheepsheads" or "Maitake", or more well known "Hen of the Woods"...delicious, and one of the easiest around our parts to find. I concentrate on Morels, and Chantrells though. Need a new thread...
