FayarCustoms
What's up SU, Was wondering which color y'all prefer between bluegill, bass, and white for a 7 inch slammer. I fish ponds in Arkansas so I'm pretty set on the 7 inch but can't decide what color. I have done well on bluegill swimbaits but have heard some people say that the bass also looks like a frog. Just wondering what y'all would recommend. Thanks.
evilcatfish
Honestly, any of the 3 would suit you well, just pick one and roll with it. Maybe consider getting a 9" too
MA Frog Man
I'd worry more about getting a 9" than the color waynem, bassturds, yev14 and 3 others
Top Ramen
This isn't the answer you're looking for but . . . color is just not that important with Slammers. Beyond light vs dark, I don't think it makes much of a difference. So, get the color you feel you fell you would have the most confidence in. Also, get the nine inch, single-joint. It's the version of that bait that built it's reputation.
Rod Bendhard
Get whatever you think looks the coolest because I don't think the bass give a ish hahaha Also.....GET THE 9 INCH TWO PIECE
drewmoniz
Hate to sound like a broken record with all these other guys but yeah, get the 9 inch. Two and three pounders hit that thing all the time.
HookdUp
Better question is what hooks/splitrings to upgrade to the 9 in .. I started with the 7 in 2014 . If I knew then what I know it would have been the 9 inch in plain black
bigpoppabass
I think the bass also looks like a crappie. brushhawg1
timcauliffe
A bass won't be focusing on the color ABOVE the water. Any 9" Slammer will do the job. surfk9
Wes Peart
I've caught a ton of dinks on the 9".. Don't bother with the 7. Straight black has caught a ton during the day and night for me although my PB came on a light trout DC slammer
