Jack
I just bought a RM Nego with a bad tail. I removed the bad tail and bought a new one from a member here. It will go into the slot almost all the way but never will go all the way in and get seated into the indention on the tail to lock it into place. I am planning on gluing it in with Lock Tight rubber cement but would like to get it all the way into the slot before I try to glue it. Any advice would be much appreciated. azfisher
Not sure what others have done, but I have used a single edged razor blade and a small regular screwdriver to clean up the old residue in the slot so the tail would fit flush. I used rubber cement as well to affix the new tails. El_Weruso and Peteisgood
Peteisgood
If it's completely void of all glues and still doesn't fit, I've had to adjust the tail itself to fit using an Exacto knife. Just make sure, if you have to, that the tail still sits straight. Rubber cement works, as does epoxy. Just kinda have to make it work as not every bait is exactly the same. Jack
Thanks guys, It seems like there is a small protrusion in the slot where the tail goes that corresponds with an indention in the tail. Does that seem Right? I can't get the tail to go past it. Really starting to irritate me at this point.
Jack
The straight razor did the trick. I cut out what appeared to be old epoxy from where the old tail had been installed. Thanks for the help. Peteisgood and azfisher
