swimbaitrookie
I know that the big tubes are not technically a swimbait, but I couldn't find a website dedicated to big tubes..... I bought some 6" Tiger tubes and heads along with some Tora tubes this spring and fished them without much to show for it. The best action I had was the Tora tube rigged on a weighted Owner Beast and thrown in some pads / grass. Can anyone shed some light on ways / places / conditions to fish the big tubes and actually catching something?
slimeking
Take a look at the "Red October Tubes" site. They have a number of rigs available for rigging tubes. You might get some different ideas for creating rigs for the smaller tubes you are fishing.

I've never thought of the Tiger / Tora tubes as being "smaller" But I guess they are compared to these things. I gotta get me some of those! bronzefly
I've caught muskies on the 6" and 8" tiger tubes, but haven't caught any bass on one. They have a great "glide" with a lift and fall!
Rangermike
New 7in Tightlinesuv tube
bdpettit
Had some success flipping bushes with the 6-7" tubes. Had the most bites weightless through grass, but hookups have been tough to come by
bassturds
Following this topic! Tubes are one of my goto conventional baits
willlliw
I fished 6in tubes for lake trout the other day. They glide back and forth a couple feet when vertical jigging them. Very unpredictable action.
Archtx9
I'm a big fan of the large tubes.......the 8 inch Tiger tube. This was a 11+ fish a few years back under the train bridge and a 12lb 12 oz fish that i'm editing the video on Morgan Y, Xtiaan, bassturds and 2 others
bigpoppabass
Bill Siemental is a big fan and mentions them many times in his classic swimbait book. Might want to get a copy. It I recall correctly, he fished them as bait ball imitations.
swimbaitrookie
@Archtx9 I wasn't surprised that you caught that beast on a mega tube! I wonder if there's any data on the oldest post resurrected here?
Ceaser
Haha this is an old one. Tora tune on a weightless hook is one of my best follow up baits for followers that don’t commit bdpettit
