CG_Fishes
I went out today determined to catch a 36+" pike, unfortunately there were a few road blocks. First while at work I pulled a muscle in my shoulder. Being as determined and stubborn as I was I still went fishing. I threw my new real prey carp around for 15 minutes catching one 24" fish while fishing the bait like a jig but I had to put the bait down as it was too heavy for my shoulder. I have put a lot of thought into this bait, going as far as painting the hook, so getting this confirmation of my theory was awesome. I wasn't ready to give up though. I picked up my 7" magslowl which was much more manageable for my shoulder. I casted out to a submerged rockpile which I have caught many fish on in the past and unsurprisingly I caught another. This time it was a much better class fish than I've been catching. A 32" fish, finally breaking 30 for the first time since March. This fish gives me hope that I still have a chance at catching the 36 that I'm after before the water gets too warm in the next few days Anyways I'm beyond stoked with today's results for many reasons and I'm excited to get back to it DrewManFishing, BOZ, willlliw and 6 others

chevro1et
Both good healthy looking fish, nice work. New York is legal, check out some CBD (oral or topical) for your shoulder. CG_Fishes
