Don’t use 50lb leader in West Virginia

I know of a guy who uses straight 8lb mono and a ned rig head with virtually any type of plastic from flukes to beavers to catch tiger muskie and he surprisingly had a very high catch ratio rarely gets cut off which seems odd

maybe cause the line is such a small diameter it slips through the teeth maybe
