  1. Are you looking for one? Or info on one? If you need info this post would be better off in the Underground Forum. Also you can search for it. I'm sure someone has probably talked about them. Goodluck!

  6. Hands down the TORO Rocket. Same gear ratio and size as the bigshooter I think. You can always reel slower, but when cranking fish that hit at the end of a long cast, you can never reel fast enough.

    Cracker Repaint

Picked up an old, beaten cracker off a member here and brought into the shop to see what we could do with it. Nothing amazing but not too bad. Replaced the bill, sanded and filled holes with body filler, and sealed, based, pearled, then cleared. I’m a prepper in a paint shop so I had access to material. My painter sprayed it and mixed the color for me.

    MA trout eatah

After my last 4 trips out in the cold rain and wind without a sniff(besides a 6+ that snapped my alpha shad off last trip) I have been blanked. Although the water is still cold for this time of the year here, if there’s open water, I’m fishing regardless of temps. Water was about 50 degrees today. Decided to bring my girlfriend with me today in hopes she’d catch something or at least she’d be there to take some quality pictures if I managed to catch one and that’s exactly why she came lol. No bites on any soft baits, tied the 175 on and just worked it with reel turns and the fish were all fired up, follows back to the boat, eats right at the boat, it was a very different day on the water for me. I ended up with 4 total, 3 that we’re about 2 lbs and this last big girl that ended up weighing 6lb1oz. It’s already been a grind but keep grinding and you’re time will come eventually...I usually call it luck haha

    just one shad

Hello all, Just finished a single shad for guy that wanted a specific rate of fall which posed a little bit of a challenge. Hopefully this bait serves him well. My turn around on baits these days is improving now that im getting used to the postal work. I hope everyone is enjoying there spring fishing. Here is some pics of the shad before and after the clear coat.

  11. Looking to trade or sell these two. The Klash is in US Carp and looks awesome in person. It has been fished but remains in great condition. There is one small hook pointer as seen in the pics. I was looking for a Hi-Float when I picked this one up. The Battles Shad has been rigged but is in great shape with no tears or repairs. Open to offers or would trade for 3:16 wakes, Slammers, Roman Made Nego or Tricks, and Deps 250’s. Thanks for the awesome board SU! Robert Hines Five zero one 590 8735

  16. I have no technical reasons but the 9" is my only productive glide....right from the first cast. My Hinkle and 250s are still batting 0 but I know they catch fish. The Glideator gets a thumbs up here in Canada.

  17. I have owned the 7" and 9". 7" seemed more stable and you could work it well with an erratic retrieve adding reel pops... the 9" seemed to be better on a straight retrieve with pauses in between to let it glide out. 9" did not like reel pops at all, it nosed up for me. Maybe I had one that was a bit off but that's my experience. Good luck finding one if you are looking! For what you get from the glides, they are very reasonably priced and you can find them pretty cheap used.

  18. Your confusing this beautiful calcutta TE with a calcutta b model which is more around the price range of a lexa 300. The Calcutta TE is more closely compared to a calcutta conquest which is a $600 reel...

  22. Not sure what others have done, but I have used a single edged razor blade and a small regular screwdriver to clean up the old residue in the slot so the tail would fit flush. I used rubber cement as well to affix the new tails.

  33. Nothing to understand really. It's a nice little bait. But so is a Toxic Wake and Crank. Or a Pizz Riot. Or an Imakatsu triple lipped. The mystique comes in because you can't get them, so it is human nature to think it must be so incredible. I've had a few. Not majic, same fish that bit it would have bit 10 other baits. Don't get sucked in.

    Baby speckled trout

Thanks. I used Mona Lisa foil leaf. That SUCKED. i still have some Jonestones foil. Think I'll use that next go round. foil tape is hard to beat. But it won't hold up on jointed baits. These below are made with a/c foil tape. Flat walkers like lunker punker.

    Trapper Treble Hooks

Haven't tried them on soft baits yet but have made almost a complete switch to them on my hard baits. I was skeptical too but you'll see what I'm talking about the second you hookup with them. Game changers.

Hiro 8.5 Kokanee LDC XXH Conquest 400 25# Abrazx While casting towards shore chasing largies I heard what sound like a toilet bowl flushing about 50yards behind me towards deeper water. Wasn’t a Bird wasn’t a dink. Hit the trolling motor got within casting distance and sent a long cast past the “toiletâ€. Twitch twitch twitch all the way back to the boat. 100% did not plan on making a second cast into open water, God I’m glad I did! Second twitch pause and BOOM! Released to fight another day! She went 35 inches and 16.4 pounds. Couldn’t be happier to stick a land locked stripe like this for the first fish on the newest combo.

    HPH Gliding Gizzard

First actual review I've bothered to write here, so I hope I cover what y'all want to know. If I miss something, just ask. High Power Gliding Gizzard Super Slow Sink & Slow Sink 3.6oz - 3.8oz 1/0 Owner ST-36s ~9†long from line tie to tail Resin, stainless screw eyes, carbon hinge pin, durable top coat, etc. All the same things you’ve seen on the Herring. I’ve had these baits for about 8 weeks now, and caught a lot of fish on them in that time. I wanted to put up a review, mostly because I feel like I owe it to Randall. Currently, I’m fishing these baits on a LDC Production H, Curado 301DSV spooled up with 25lb P-Line PF. I’d prefer to be throwing them on a production XH but don’t have that rod anymore. The Custom XH throws it fine as well, but a little stout for me considering I stick with the ST-36s. When they showed up in the mail, I had them tied on and in the water within an hour. And I’m not going to lie, the action was nothing like I had in mind. If you’re looking for another bait with a big, wide smooth glide like a 250, this isn’t it. I had to get over that first myself. After a couple of days with them on the water, and just seeing what they will do, I was all in on this bait. On a straight wind, it has a very tight swim, not moving a lot off of center. But get creative with the rod and reel, and that’s where it shines. The super slow sink will just about suspend. It digs a little bit on the retrieve if you put the rod tip down, and will stay up with the rod tip up. You can control the depth of the bait throughout the retrieve this way, and kill it without it sinking out on you. Once I had a feel for the baits swim, turning the reel and twitching the rod at the same time, at the right time gets the bait to dart out 2ft or more to one side. Shorter, less exaggerated movements like this timed right, shoot the bait back and forth, about 1ft off center. There’s a bit of roll in the belly of the bait as it swims which throws a good bit of flash. The harder you fish it, the more flash it throws. A more erratic retrieve has been best for me, mixing in a lot of pauses. This is coming from a guy who fishes slow as hell though, so what I might be calling erratic, y’all might call boring… I’l let it hit the water and wait a few seconds, a couple of turns of the reel to get the bait down a couple of feet, pause and let it suspend. You might be able to pick up some of how I fish it from the video below, but honestly you just have to spend some time with the bait to learn it. Most of my bites have come on the pause, and they knock the hell out of the bait. Almost always a head shot. A really fun bite, and I’ve pulled a lot of bigger fish with it. You won't see near as many follows as you do with the 250, but that's a good thing in my opinion. I hate to pull a fish off of their spot, not eat, and then swim off.
