Yes. I got the same message. I figured it was a scam. It just sucks with all the scam stuff because a couple of them seem pretty real and I can see how some might get taken advantage of. The Chase, paypal, and Apple emails look pretty legit.

Got home Tuesday night and the baby wake showed up so went out for a quick session. Fished it the last three evenings after work. No bites yet, but hoping to change that this weekend

What bassbass said. With weedless baits I try to point at the bait as I’m reeling in. When you get bit. Reel down until you feel her and then set the hook. I’ve been doing it this way with my weedless hudds, rising sons, and mission fish with not any more missed than the normal misses. Mono 100 percent of the time. Pline original pf and cxx 20 lbs

Awesome you got a topwater bite already. You are definitely going to want some heavier line and eventually a dedicated big bait rod setup. Not sure how heavy the rat is that you are using, but I’d hate see you tear up a rod and reel, or cast the bait off due to thin line. I like 20 and 25 lbs test mono for my rat fishing

Ok. I’ve been slingin on my new omea xh for a couple weeks. I haven’t battled any fish yet, but I already know this thing is as good as it gets. Very light for as sturdy as it is. I’ve thrown a little of everything I’ve got on it and it handles everything just fine. The build quality is awesome!

Oh man. My thoughts are with his family. I always liked seeing Go Fish! On his posts. I remember the post, and as it was very sad I remember how positive he was with everything. Michel Go Fish with some of the great ones!

That’s awesome. Thanks for the write up. When I first saw the OD rat is when I knew I wanted to throw swimbaits. I wanted one bad, but couldn’t hack the price. That is what made me start making my own rats and other swimbaits. Still need to get one. Lol

I used a light weight aluminum tube. Turned it down for the taper, epoxied it in. Used some foam and re used the butt cap. Worked out pretty good.
