  1. Don't do anything. Reach out to the maker. He will fix it.
  2. For clear you can always get another airbrush and solely use it for clearcoating. One with a bigger needle. A siphon fed airbrush along with a 3oz glass jar does the trick.
  3. Brushing baby powder on the mold before pouring helps eliminate the super tiny air bubbles.
  4. Most likely you will end up with something custom. Look at hudds for example, it has a foam/lead harness. It will solely depend on your bait and your Intentions. You can buy some high-temp silicone for pouring custom lead inserts.
  5. Yup does great work. Glad to know hes on here too.
  6. Top pic looks like a dockrat. Thats way too difficult for me unless I pay someone to design it. I personally have no desire for carved scales. I prefer a smooth finish, clearcoat looks more professional.
  7. Is it a grinding noise or a dry bearing noise.
  8. Lurepartsonline and barlowstackle are a couple good online options. And it just depends on the bait/baitmaker. I like to use swivel hook hangers and the smallest line tie screw I can get away with. But that's just me.

That would be like taking away our guns. It will never close. They work under the constitution.
  10. We still have rights(last time I checked) No matter how much fear the media is force feeding us, no man is going to stop my freedom of travel and my right to assemble.

I'd use a size 5 for those size baits.
  12. Slow sink. Thrown just a few times. Barely any hook points. Ill cut hooks off. 200$ gift or add fees. No trades. Can ship tomorrow but going out of town this weekend.
  13. Fish seemed to like it on sunday. But they only liked the one my buddy was throwin lol. Nice job @Nick S.
  14. Thanks guys for all the positive remarks, i really appreciate it. So yesterday I had my first major screw up. I tried clearing 10 baits with a new gun. The gun primed these baits like a pro so I didnt test it with clear. Well big mistake. It shot way too thick and dried too fast. The clear never leveled off completely. It looks fine from far away but up close it's all bumpy. Lol so now I got 10 baits for personal use and for my friends who I know will never sell these. Please dont message me asking for them. Needless to say I will never try clearing with that gun again; I'm going back to the ole trusty siphon fed airbrush.
  15. Hey guys, I'd like to share some pics of my progress on a trout glide over the last couple years. It came out to be 9.5" and 4.75oz with 1/0 st-36's. It has reinforced swivel hook hangers and a urethane rubber tail. The carving was from basswood. After I managed to get it swimming to my liking, I realized the carving lines got a little jacked up from sanding bondo and molding it so many times. I wanted the bait to be flawless so I reached out to Jake at row innovations to have him clean up some carving lines and make both sides of the bait symmetrical. He was a blast to work with! I highly recommend him to any bait maker. Right now I'm just trying to perfect my airbrushing skills. I had a shoebox full of failed versions of the bait so I've been learning to paint on those. I've only tried trout patterns so far. I want to try a carp color but I'm just locked in on trout its hard to learn another pattern. I've recently sent a few baits to friends for testing purposes. No fish reported yet; just a lot of followers and a couple that managed to shake the hooks. I'm curious to see how the paint/clearcoat holds up. I'm not using cheap products, so I have high hopes. Well thanks for reading and looking guys! So far I'm enjoying this whole bait making thing. It's been a hell of a learning experience but I think I'll stick with it!
  16. Not everyone is from the northwest. Imagine growing up on deep SoCal reservoir lakes. You'll understand then.
  17. Just google stainless steel rod. And the size you're after.
  18. I sold my shrapnel simply because the conquest felt so much better in palm.
