Apple weather hasn’t been cutting for me as far as getting a good idea of wind/rain. Lead to a few annoying outings. Was wondering what weather apps guys use to try to get an idea of the day ahead. *I realize there is no one app to do it and you can never get a perfect picture of the weather the day will bring, was hoping to get a few that I can check*

I love this write up and the sketch at the end. I take a lot of personal notes like this and I feel like the sketches help a lot. This post has some ideas starting up in my head. looking forward to more posts like this

Had a tk for a while and have been struggling on it a bit; just a bunch of big pickerel so far. Got on a bit of a bite this week, stuck a 5.5 and a few 3s. All eating it head first.

This is so sick

Got a bite in the 7.8 keitech and thought I had a giant, needless to say this was before I set. Beyond amazed to see this less than 2lber choke it. Spit up 2 other fish as well. Wild.

First day back after primarily salt water fishing. Hopefully this is representative of what’s to come. Got a 4.4 on the PG cranking it slow then a while later got a 5.75 on the citizen 7.

Liking the Tk so far but can’t keep the pickerel off. These are a few solid ones from the past outings

It’s so underrated when you see stuff like you mentioned with that baby mink(?)getting crushed. That stuff is always so sick. Congratulations on the 4lber

Mine was probably in September 2020 right before I joined SU. Had some big baits didn’t fish them a crazy amount but was trying to build confidence. Decided one day when I was going to a local spot I’d bring a big bait(jackal gantarel) hoping to get a few fish. Caught a few 1-2lbers. Tried this last spot and thought to myself, I never catch anything here but what the heck. Little pinch point between 2 ponds. Took one crank of the gantarel and let it glide out. As I’m standing above this spot I see an absolute giant levitate out of this dirty water right under it, it opened its mouth and ate it like a trout taking a dry fly. I was freaking out, coolest looking east I’ve had. Fish was pretty skinny and just under 6. Filled out would’ve wrecked my 6.35 pb.

Didn’t get some great pictures, this video is the best I got. Panfish were warming up in the shallows, bass unfortunately weren’t taking advantage but this pickerel sure was. Wicked fat 3.5lber. Ate the bull gill glide paralleling an underwater bush. IMG_6831.MOV
