  3. I'm relativley new to swimbaiting and so far i've only had marginal success. I've started throwing the huddleston 68 special and had some bites but not many. Is having a slow gear ratio very important to there action or no. It may be a dumb question but i'm starting to doubt myself here. Any answers would be very much appreciated!
  4. From the album: Maxwell S. - Year 2015

First Cast, Same spot, Different day. I believe I stumbled upon a school of larger females staging ready to spawn and they were hungry! No scale for some of these fish. But it was an epic day of 5 on the swimbait ranging from 4 to 10lbs. This one was easily in the 8lb class and was one of 3 on back to back casts.
  5. From the album: Maxwell S. - Year 2015

This is my official PB. She went 8-13 and just like the 7.3, she was feeding on trout, but was unfortunately skinny from a tough winter.
  6. Maxwell S.

    7.30

From the album: Maxwell S. - Year 2015

One of several great days from the shore. She and three other toads hit on a warm sunny day in March. They were pushing trout up against the shore on a saddle point. This one went 7.3 on the digital.
  7. Maxwell S.

    7.36

From the album: Maxwell S. - Year 2015

One of the few times I have actually stuck one from a boat. She got stuck on a long cast in 4 foot of water in 54 degree water. Crazy winter bite!
  8. Have an 8" bbz, 6" bbz, 8" hudd, and lunker punker g2 for trade

    Oregon bass

So excited for this 5.81lb largemouth to eat the whole hudd! *Was competing in a big bass tourney today with my dad. Casted that hudd out to a key area, and slowly crawled the bait above the grass. As I reeled the hudd in I was shocked and said, "Dad, I just got tagged," then I kept reeling, but then I had to hurry up and catch up with the fish because it ate the bait tail first and was running at me. Set the hook and it turned and we were at a stand still. Can't explain my excitement for my PB 8" Hudd fish.
  10. Hello fellow SBUnderground members i'm getting out of swimbait fishing. Its a Dobyns 806 Mike Long rod with a Daiwa Lexa 300L (lefty reel) im also throwing in all my swimbaits. Here's a list of swimbaits i'm throwing in: Huddleston 8" phantom trout ROF12, SPRO BBZ-1 8" floating trout, and River2sea S-Waver 200S Abalone Shad. Asking price $399. Located in Riverside.
  11. First time catching a swimbait limit worth sharing. 3rd cast BOOM! Solid fish, I didn't bring a scale, but I have a fair idea of the size of the fish that day. Used a Dobyn's 867, Shimano 300 TE, and a ROF 5 Top Hook Hudd. In order of being caught, and after talking with many people about the weights, I have a good estimate of how much they weighed: 8lbs 7lbs BIG GIRL!!! Worst day to not know, but this thing was 26" long and was fat, I am pretty sure it was at least nine. So I am making it my unofficial PB. Caught to more smaller ones, 5 and a 4!
  12. Hudd Rod for sale 8' 20-30lb line weight 3-10oz lure weight Acid wrap Fuji guides 10 + tip guides 23" cork handle with fore grip Comes with the receipt lifetime warranty no charge I'm asking for $200 obo
  13. Watch as legendary swimbait angler Butch Brown catches a 65+ lb limit on the Huddleston Deluxe.
  14. Threw the Huddleston ROF 5 Top Hook, turned out they were eating trout that day. All came within 3 hours on one spot. Not bad for a guy shore pounding it. Plus a new PB at 8-13, I swear it looked like a DD until I got it on shore and was anorexic. The other two were 7-3 and 7-10! Best day of swimbaiting for to date!
  15. FS: Two 6" Hudds, both ROF 12, both phantoms. One is weedless, both are in excellent shape. The lead in the phantom blue has the usual whitening and one of the bottom fins on the green was torn and repaired. $35 TYD
