JoeLo7
Can anyone point me in the direction of an off the shelf travel rod? Somewhere in the 2-6 or 1-4oz rating. Been searching around even looking up muskie travel rods. I dont want to have a custom made, as it will see little use. thanks in advance! joe
Bakerlounge
F5 has the conceal carry that is a production run and they are listed on his site. I have a few travel rods and this one is one of the best available. basskickinrednick
JacksonF
F5 travel rods are awesome. I’ve never used the conceal carry, but the f5 departure line of travel rods is really nice for heavier baits. I have an 806 and 807 and love them
Bakerlounge
Megabass offers some nice travel rods as well, The Hook Up Tackle has a full breakdown video up on YouTube. chevro1et
captainhookset
Legit design wild side big bait travel rod fits in a backpack. It's freaking amazing. Best handles up to 3.5 oz. Can do a little more but the ideal weight is the 1-3 range Jzxmnky
Sawhill-guy
I'll second the F5 Conceal Carry. It's been a lifesaver for me when I can't bring one of my main rods, and it does the job well. I don't lose any confidence using that rod. Ravelthus
The Daily by Leviathan. I fished with it exclusively on my Thailand trip. Handled 45 pound fish well, was throwing 1 ounce Deps Huge Buzzbaits and up to Deps 250. Fit perfectly in the overhead bin of an airliner, didn't have any problems going on a flight on Korean Air. Valkyrie World Expedition rods are great. I have the VKC-711XH-4 and fish it all the time. Treble hook rod for sure though, not a jig hook / weedless bait rod. Is that going to be a "true" travel rod, or is it a 1 piece main blank ferruled at the handle to accommodate storage / transport of an 8'6" rod? Fallof74
Not a true travel rod, but to your point its a 2 piece with a removable butt section. It will come with a rod wrap for both pieces that you use to transport the rod in 2 pieces. chevro1et

Their Wild Side big bait rod is probably my most heavily fished swimbait rod at this point and I gotta imagine the travel rods to be comparably satisfactory.
