Fried Lemons
I had more than 100 hours invested into hudd fishing without a single fish. Well today, it finally happened. If I hadn’t lost my Deps 250 earlier I never would have tied it on. I made a long cast over a prime spot and was retrieving at a slow pace. Near the end of the cast I was watching it swim just 3’ under the surface when this beast came up and gulped it. Feels amazing to finally break into the 8s after all these years of grinding. brootalititties
Nice! Butch had it figured out. 250 & hudds will always get it done. Problem with the hudds is I lose about 4 for every fish I’ve caught lol! Good job Fried Lemons

Mossyback Angler
Gotta love them Hudds. Sucks to loose the 250, but maybe it was meant to be, so you had to tie that hudd on and catch the new PB. Personally, I think the reward mitigates the loss. Congratulations on an exceptional PB, well done. Fried Lemons

Ya I actually started pointing it at the bait but holding the rod parallel to the water so the line doesn’t drag bottom, I fish them in a steep reservoir with lots of stumps, it is what it is lol

chang127
Good fish! What was the ROF on the Hudd? Also, were you bottom bouncing or did you let it sink down to a certain depth before you started the retrieve? Fried Lemons
