porkmeatballs
Does anyone know if the Abu Garcia Ambassadeurs are any good? Are they reliable? Thanks for feedback.
jhoozie1
I've had the C3 (forgot which model) for around 3 years now. It still works perfectly fine. Holds a lot of line and is a work horse. Hardly find myself backlashing with it also. It's my reel for my main swimbait setup. The gear ratio is low so you'll be able to work your baits as slow as you want. Downside to that though is that I remember losing a fish because it rushed toward me and I couldn't keep enough tension on it so it popped off on the jump. Believe it has only happened once though. 'Derrick Wallace'
I believe the big thing with ambassadors is if they are made in Sweden. Some of the lower end ones are made in China. But if you get a Swedish made one you are good. VAngler
kevin08261985
I've had a C4 for a few years and really like it. Tough to beat for the money. It casts really well, holds a lot of line, and is pretty rugged. I have nothing bad to say about it.
basshole8190
All I throw anymore for swimbaits. Never let me down before. And parts are cheap and readily available should you ever break one
gettin bit
I fish a Abu Record on my hudd rod and love it. I often fish to fast and the record slows me down. Never had a problem with it. It is an older model made in Sweden with the power handle.
bdpettit
Buy a Sweden 6500C3, and you''ll be set for many years. Mine is 12 yrs old, and still going strong. Very easy to clean and maintain as well. Built like a tank VAngler

Ceaser
I got rid of my records and C3. With only a single bearing supporting the pinion, they can bind up under a heavy load, mine did at least. Handle can be very hard in certain instances. PLus they always get a little geary after a while.
