It's a lot more comfortable and when you're fishing comfortably you seem to catch more fish. I've tried the round reels and never got used to the size of them but I've got small hands though. On the other hand I'm not positive but I believe the handles are interchangeable between the Lexas In their respective sizes. I know the 400 has a longer handle than the 300 and lower models.
