waynem
Have you ever owned anything else? I'm kinda shopping around and have been wondering about the Phoenix?? I'm also curious about how you like the Phoenix. Your rig is set up almost identical to mine except I went with the Ranger Z519 instead of the Phoenix 919. It came down to those 2 boats for me when I was buying. I decided on the Ranger because of the dealer. There are not many bass boat dealers in New England to choose from, and I just wasn't comfortable with the service aspect of the dealer handling Phoenix boats. If both dealerships had been equal I may have gone with the Phoenix- it looked like a sweet boat.
jbane9
I had a 12' aluminum, a 1985 ranger 18', a 1996 Skeeter 200zx, and now the Phoenix. My Skeeter was nice. Had a lot of storage and top end speed, but it does not compare to the Phoenix. It can handle clear lake on rough days when I would have been idling or hammering my equipment in the Skeeter. And all the small options are nice too. Only thing I would change is center rod storage, but I think the 2017's have that. Best boat for the money imo BigSlant

timcauliffe
Just purchased a 10' Sears Gamefisher over the weekend w/ 2 deep cycle batteries and an old Minn Kota. Replacing my 8' fiberglass rig with this. Plan to add a removable casting deck. Fits on top of my Mazda 3 perfectly. waynem
This is my newest addition to the fleet - just picked it up yesterday. It's 12 feet and only 46 pounds in weight - actually lighter than my tandem kayak and less than half the weight of my 12' jonboat. I've got bigger boats for big waters, but this will make life easier getting into those remote places. Standing up while casting is no problem. timcauliffe, kondan, danthefisherman and 4 others
bassbass
The Phoenix bass baits are big down here, I looked at them but have never owned one. FWC gives one away with there big bass program. I had a couple a Tracker aluminum boats that I liked, then had a Nitro, it was alright now I have a Champion that is built like a tank. Going back and forth about when I replace I may go with a flats boat so I can do both but most of my time is in a 10' Jon boat but the older I get the heavier it is. Wayne can you please PM me some information on that new boat you got. More concerned about stability, there's gators down here.
cloteal_cast
Went from a Champion 202 to a Phoenix 921 and love it, the only other boat I will consider getting is the new Charger 210 because it is a Champion 210 just updated with the newest features. The 921 is probably the best fishing platform I've ever fished off of as far as stability and deck room.
BigSlant
I luv my '84 champ hull..I'm ready for a new 250 and hydraulic steering tho..it's not worth putting 15-20k on a motor on that hull tho..I think after this winter it'll be time! LUV-2-CATCH'EM
A lot of great looking boats on here... Recently I sold my Skeeter to downsize to a smaller watercraft that would fit in the garage. It was sad to see her go goodbye but I'm happy with the change... kahai808, Hhunn, ETBA and 5 others

I moved up to the Pacific Northwest and sold my boat, looking to replace it with something smaller that can take on shallow water.
