I got the Bomber Wake in the mail...took it out to the CA Delta and caught one first day having it.. I am going to get it out one or two more times and get it on to the next in line.. glad I was able to get at least one on it..

Finally happened! a DD PB at 10.5lbs/26". When she took drag I thought I didn't lock it down but nope, just big mama saying she's not having any of it. And I was silly enough to actually tried to boat flip her. Luckily rod didn't break. Still shocked since I only broke my PB this spring at 9.3lbs. It's true, a DD is a different class of fish...it spilling over my measuring board! Huge thanks to buddies who's been cheering me on throughout this journey - you know who you are! And big shout out to #2facedwakinggil!

After taking a couple of months off from fishing my buddy finally convinced me to get out a few times the past week. Yesterday we decided to try out a spot that he had never fished and I had only fished once. I really wanted a top water bite so I was fishing a Wade Hoggs and the Monka x SU Crawler. After an hour or two my friend landed a fish on his 316 workhorse. We were both stoked as he's been trying to get bit on that for a while. With that bite I was inspired to glide around a TK. We spent a lot of time fishing around lily pad clusters, shoreline, and islands. I found a current break that was leading into one of the islands. We went around the backside and I tossed my TK up the current. I worked the bait erratically through the current with a couple pauses once it was parallel to the island. On the second pause the bait got smoked and I set into it. The bass was peeling drag trying to get under some bushes but I managed to keep her out. We forgot the net so I was forced to boat flip it with my 7'3 rod. I was jaw dropped after seeing this fish on the bottom of my jon boat. The fish ended up going six pounds six ounces at about 22 inches, being my biggest of the year. This was also my first big fish on the TK in B mode which was a huge confidence boost. It's good to be back.

A lot of us that have been into swimbaits for years would tell you don’t fall into the hype. But I would be lying if I said I’m not still falling for some of them lol. But the way I look at it is...I could be pissing my money away on partying and have nothing to show for it. At least with swimbaits I have something and they also retain value for many years.

I'm more of a Sunline Sniper kinda guy, but I really value feedback from guys with a lot of experience such as yourself. Thanks, Brian. I always try and provide as much info as possible regarding rod / reel / line when asking for input like this. Nice to hear that you're confident throwing 20# Sniper, that's what I'm leaning towards for sure. Thanks for your feedback.

Caught this little guy today, the fish was the same size as the bait lol. Didn't even feel him I thought I had snagged some grass

Knew it was a good one when she said she couldn't turn her "cranker". Then her motherly instinct kicked in while taking a photo and tried to hold it like a baby. She had some giants come off but got this one on Roger Vang's wake bait. Her 1st time bass fishing.

I keep a selfie stick in tackle bag

I do the same exact thing but just take a video instead of timer. Then you can screenshot the best possible pic

I just stick my arm out and take a picture, only downside is that alot of the times the fish looks ALOT smaller than they really are! Not really best look when you tell a story haha.

Put phone on something, put it in selfie mode and put a timer on and then treat it as you would when someone else is taking your picture

I ve done both emailed and ig. He replied with short non helpful answers. Idc who you are ive made good relationships with other bait makers way more popular than him who have helped above and beyond. If i order something custom I expect it to work right and thjngs happen so if it doesnt at least be helpful. I appreciate all the replies but honestly im not an idiot ive done everything i could with him thats why im turning to a forum for help maybe someone whos had a similar issue can help. Im just gonna buy a new one from someone who messaged me and throw this one away

I don't have a lot of super hyped baits but I think I have all my bases covered. Trying to get more into soft baits and glides. Multi-joints are usually my thing but I want to be more versatile.

Use what brand you like. I use the Sunline FX braid for years now. When I was regular tackle fishing I tries all kinds of FC and to me they all sucked. So I love the tasty but it is crazy money.

Yeah I almost only use fc for crankdowns now and I like it a lot better ... I also have LDCs and I’ve never had a problem with the fish coming unpinned (if that’s what you’re worried about)... that slow taper has plenty of give on the H...even on the XH. It definitely gets them noticeably deeper and you’ll feel the bait more too. i don’t have any experience with tatsu^^^ but I’ve heard only good things. ive been messing around with sunline sniper 20 # for the last two years on almost all my setups and I haven’t had any problems I actually like it a lot even though I hear a lot of mixed reviews on it. Can’t go wrong with seguar abrazX either

I used to log all my catches in my album here on SU to keep track of my fish count. It’s been a good tool to look back on and remember what the fish were doing at certain lakes at different times of the year.

Well that’s a little weird, the vole isn’t exactly big and in real life a muskrat is generally bigger than a vole. Either way, hope they sell well for him, they definitely look nice

I have 0 social media, and don't put my life all over the internet like many many people these days. Maybe I was raised old school I'm 35?! But...I can appreciate what alot of what these younger guys are doing and it's getting more and more kids into fishing. I have 3 kids my oldest wants nothing to do with fishing. My other son and youngest love watching fishing videos on YouTube. I'm not talking bill dance type videos. I'm saying Jon B before googans, some guys from Australia that swim out to the rocks and catch crazy fish and a few others. This in turn gets them (my kids) excited to go fish. Unless there are some hidden honey hole lakes. I doubt the added attention really effects the fishing. My .02 is anything that helps with getting my kids to want to go fish, without me asking...I'm all for.
