    High winds. Sunny. Temp dropped almost 30 degrees from the previous day. Five minutes into the trip I snagged and lost my TiK. After a few minutes of self pity I tied on a more budget friendly bait and stuck a 4lber on the Arashi Glide. Quality fish for this time of year for me. Going to keep force feeding bigger baits until everything freezes over.

    Doesn’t effect the action at all. most fish have white bellies so looks natural for the most part a lot of guys including myself throw all white swimbaits so I can’t see how a little white would effect or throw anything off personally

    The swim is very impressive- nice smooth glide - gonna brag with a little photo proof. paint is awesome as well my trout one matched the local trout perfectly and the OP’s bass one looks spot on

    Looking to trade any of these baits or combos of baits, I’ll make it work in your favor. looking only for Toxic whippersnapper and hoggs color not important, can be fished and a full-size trucha in trout preferably baits for trade include new Texas swimbaits Shad and gills, real prey 6 & 7” chaddle tails, perch shiner, rigged and fished gizzard wizards (silver blue no fish, shiner colored one one fish) clear Shad bait on a flashy owner (forget the maker) jsj 9” trout hard baits include ds BFG OG gill it’s 12oz wooden bait, yohan shiner glide, megabass mega dog (will add hooks) fish arrow drts both with no tails again will be a solid trade in your favor

    What do you guys think of this? Slow sink. Wiggles and falls perfectly straight Colorado spins like hell when you retrieve it. Always gets bit in the fall or when I pause the retrieve. Im an artist I should probably figure out how to paint baits better.. I’ve made a few of these and they are pretty bit in my local zones. I want to make a couple for the salt. I feel like calicos might scarf it falling down kelp stringers or at boiler rocks.

    The fish I’ve caught on a hudd all ate it from behind and were hooked far back in the roof of the mouth. No problems with hook ups but you do have to grind them in aggressively so they don’t get too many head shakes. Here’s an example of a typical hook placement.

    I second the Fury 795--got mine in '19 and it's worked perfectly for that size. It's softer and parabolic so it keeps trebles pinned well (I've caught fish on beast hook baits with it, but not super confident in it as a single hook rod cuz of its softness). And at $129.99 retail I'm not sure you can beat the price.

    Had a chance to test out my new rat from Black Anchor Fishing Co. today. Total length 8” with the tail - body is about 4.75” and weighs 1.8 ounces. Casts like a bullet, walks the dog with slight twitches of the reel handle and pops and moves a good amount of water with small snaps of the rod.
