Nice work.....if the average joe knew how much work went into a multi color fade, especially in the underwraps and guide wraps (such a pita when you start working the tip section) I’m sure the like button would gotten smashed to pieces. Good luck with the new stick. thebeardedbassman and bake and waker

Good luck with the new stick. Yeah, it’s a lot of work for sure. With grip shaping, thread work, finish work, testing and alignment stuff, I’m probably around 18 hours into this build. Luckily for me rod building is just an expensive hobby. Trying to make money on rods with a lot of threadwork would be a challenge for sure. Thanks for the compliment though. It’ll be out on the kayak this weekend. thebeardedbassman

Seems like it would be a broomstick with that lure rating It is a broomstick when i use it for baits less than 5oz or so, but i use this rod for 6oz+ almost exclusively. I can cast the mother and baits of that nature with so much ease. PKNNH

Bass_blaster
Finished my latest build for me, based off a Phenix 909XHJ blank, cut 4” from the but for 8’-8” overall. Barely fits in the cab of my truck, so that’s why I trimmed it down a tad. Probably going to get a Conquest 400 as a partner for it. basskickinrednick, dean_d, buzzed bait and 7 others
Mkel83
Nothing sexy like most of these posts but I figured I’d post it. Two solid set ups for around $600 including line. Great ‘budget’ set ups in my opinion. Dobyns Fury 795SB - Lews GX3 65#PP ....mostly for single hook baits Daiwa SB H rod - Cardiff 20# InvizX ....mostly for treble hook baits Edited May 19, 2020 by Mkel83 buzzed bait, Dink whisperer, CaliBassin and 1 other
trav
Excuse the beat up Pluton in the first two pictures, now a Conquest 301 rides this thing. This is the first rod I ever built. Really like how it turned out, and that is an old, skinny, big headed bass I got on the 3rd cast with it.
