bigpoppabass
I paid up for the Shimano counterbalanced handle for 301 and got a ball handle. The $20 Abu power handle on my c3 Abu performs better. yev14
Drewm42
I love the power handle on my lexa winnch it’s all personal preference though danthefisherman
danthefisherman
I used to be against the "ball grip" handle style, but now I really like them for their larger size. It's just an easier shape to grip with my whole hand without having to worry about slipping so much...especially in wet weather. That said, it's more of a hybrid handle style with dual oversized round knobs comparable in size to other power handles I own. It may look a little wonky, but as soon as I put that reel in my hands I fell in love with the fit and feel of it. Drewm42

Seminole Slide Swimmer
Bro, do you even power fish? On a serious note, I prefer them mainly for fishing Hudds as they tend to make me reel slower bigpoppabass

dheath2
Necessary in salt water but by no means required to catch a bass. CaliBassin
