El_Weruso
Trying my best at carving some gills and facial details. Going to use some sort of jb weld to make the fins protrude Edited July 17, 2020 by El_Weruso StriperAddict, CaliBassin, danthefisherman and 2 others
danthefisherman
Interested to see the results on the fins...I did something similar years back by trying to form lead weights into pectoral fins. Bait is going to be killer! El_Weruso
Rogervang
Holy.cow this is a badass bait. How did I miss it? The glide is super sick brother! Cant wait to see it painted and clear. El_Weruso
El_Weruso
Here's an update on the protruding fins, they just need to be smoothed out. I'll have whoever paints the bait add the streaks to the fins. Added a closer look at the gill carvings Rogervang
El_Weruso
Update: I decided to paint the bait myself. This is the first bait I've ever painted so please critique or give some advice on improvements. Not sure how I'll do the scaling or dots so any info on that will be great. Still need to shape the fins, I was trying to throw some color shift on the lips but didn't like the outcome (looked like lipstick) so I went over it with pearl white. The back of the bait has a color shift paint I added which I tried to capture with the pics (1st and 3rd pic show it farely well). Not sure how to paint the fins either lol StriperAddict

El_Weruso
Update: waiting on a stencil I had custom made for the bait. Not the best painter and didn't want to use a sharpie for the scales or mess up the fins. It arrives monday!
