WUMFL
I second the Beast Coast Creep65. Great bait for crawling on the bottom for a big bite! I personally rig it on a weighted 8/0 Beast, love to spread some scent onto it too. I have a friend who loves magdrafts but all of the ones I buy seem to be not that great. They seem to not fish balanced and seem to have a lot of issues, never had one that really swam perfectly like some people I know have. The brownie color kills in tannic lakes though! Wish more companies made that color. I do love the action on the battleshad, I’ve gotta get one, and I just got some citizens I still need to try! These are both on that Creep65. They make great colors but I love the Perch! Edited May 4, 2023 by WUMFL Primus

chevro1et
I've caught a lot of quality fish on the Scottsboro Tackle 6" Fatty. Pretty much always some colors available on TW. SVT THUNDER and Efrain
bigpoppabass
The choice depends on technique. One of the biggest adrenaline rushes is seeing an 8 inch hudd get chocked. It took me a decade to get confidence in em. If you are on a learning curve, best thing to do is jump on a boat and fish with other peeps. CG_Fishes
Megabass magdrafts and magslowls, the only soft baits I throw other than real preys. If I am going fishing I have one of these tied on, regardless of what I am fishing for, what time of year it is or where I am going. These baits work anywhere, anytime and catch every predatory fish. By far the most productive soft baits in the 6-8" range for me. The only size I have't caught on is the 10", but that'll happen soon. I use these ice in to ice out with serious success. The only soft baits you need in your arsenal, learn how to fish them and the fish will come. Just ordered a the Bass Mafia Daingerous swimbait to test out. Heard it can be reeled faster than the magdraft freestyle without blowing out. I have also had good luck with. Both the 5in and 6in Burritos. All of these options are readily available and affordable. I would not recommend Working Class Zero baits to someone just starting out. My experience, especially with the Citizens is the take a lot of tuning, and you must be adept at making on the water repairs to prolong the life of the bait. How do you tune it? I run mine straight out of the case once rigged. Is there another way to fish them than with a beast hook?

I have found if you are using the lightest beast hook as recommended by WCZ it usually requires some nail weights to get it to run straight. bassbass
There are many great soft baits out there, but not sure you can say you only need one. Sometimes juat a small change in profile, fall rate, tail movement etc will make the change from not catching to catching. Grab a hand full and see what work for you and your fish
