I’ve started a new project. This is my third attempt of making a working glide bait. It is a 2 piece shad imitation. I plan on using urethane fins, and casting this for resin. The joint will be a door hinge style. The dark spots on the front were where I put the eyes that I decided to move and filled with homemade wood filler. I’m probably making this too complicated but I’m really excited to get this together. I’m taking my time with this, getting the right tools and materials as I go. Any tips on making molds and casting resin would be greatly appreciated! Thanks SU

Didn’t get a weight as I was just stoked to get a fish on a cold and windy lake havasu day on the 1s Of the year. But biggest smallie I’ve caught before. Caught on the proto 6.5” ds glide shad

At $25 it seems like a decent bait but i've never thrown one are they any good? Should I replace the hooks? What issues do you have and what mods do you make to it? What would be your got to rod and line for it and how would you work it most effectively? Im grabbing one in baby bass and im terrified of losing it even though its a cheaper bait, obviously i will still fish it where it needs to be fished, how would you avoid snags and how would would the hooks bend out if i get it stuck? What are good hooks that would also bend out when using enough pressure but not on a fish? Thanks for any info.

Been working on a new style glide shad for a bit now. Finally got a rough mold made just to check the action on it before I make some production molds. I’m pretty pleased with it, check it out. IMG_7756.MOV

Hey guys, I'd like to share some pics of my progress on a trout glide over the last couple years. It came out to be 9.5" and 4.75oz with 1/0 st-36's. It has reinforced swivel hook hangers and a urethane rubber tail. The carving was from basswood. After I managed to get it swimming to my liking, I realized the carving lines got a little jacked up from sanding bondo and molding it so many times. I wanted the bait to be flawless so I reached out to Jake at row innovations to have him clean up some carving lines and make both sides of the bait symmetrical. He was a blast to work with! I highly recommend him to any bait maker. Right now I'm just trying to perfect my airbrushing skills. I had a shoebox full of failed versions of the bait so I've been learning to paint on those. I've only tried trout patterns so far. I want to try a carp color but I'm just locked in on trout its hard to learn another pattern. I've recently sent a few baits to friends for testing purposes. No fish reported yet; just a lot of followers and a couple that managed to shake the hooks. I'm curious to see how the paint/clearcoat holds up. I'm not using cheap products, so I have high hopes. Well thanks for reading and looking guys! So far I'm enjoying this whole bait making thing. It's been a hell of a learning experience but I think I'll stick with it!

First off, I love the way the action and versatility of the bull glides. I made a trade for an OG pizz beast gill glide because I've always been intrigued of the profile of the pizz beast. Will this swimbait make it in my rotation or sit in the tackle box? What are your thoughts of this glide bait?

I’ve been having some good success with wakebaits and big paddle tail softbaits this summer, but I was wondering if anyone has success fishing glide baits during these hot months. I haven’t put much time into them this summer and I don’t hear much about it during the summer. Also here is a six pounder I stuck last week on an 8 inch magdraft
