I’ve been working on a topwater walking rat for a little while now. Here’s what I got so far. Still need to do some more shaping on the body but it’s getting close to what I’m looking for. The body is 6†and the fixed tail will be about 5.5â€. I would like to make this a master and mold it to start pouring a few in resin and start swim testing them to dial them in. Thanks for looking

I bought this a really long time ago in Vegas at the bass pro shops. These are really nice, high end topwater lures. $15 shipped. There’s a really cool video of Blair Wiggins throwing high rollers for peacocks. Check it out- https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CaKQDvRcRUA And here’s my listing. The lure is in excellent shape. https://m.ebay.com/itm/Riproller-5-5-Topwater-Lure-from-High-Roller-Lures-Halloween-Colored-Mint/222869196270

Hey guys, this bait is a spinoff from the not your average rat project. This guy is 5.5 inches in the body total of 13. It's made of silicone not plastisol so it's very durable. The bottom half is solid silicone and the top is a silicone foam which is very light and buoyant. The legs are just a demo but will be skirt material and there will be four. The tail is silicone and should swim like a grub tail. Goal is to reel this through slop like a rat or hollow body frog That's a weighted 10/0 beast for size and what I will probably rig it with. It's colored white with silicone pigment and I have white and black colors right now. I could in theory paint it whatever color though. Any feedback would be rad!

Hey all I wanted to start a topic that I've been thinking about recently "The Theory of Rat's". I have heard that bass hate snakes and the more "rat" bait's I see they look more like brown or black snakes than any rat. They way they move as a bait usually slithers as well, especially the 3 part rat swimbaits. So my question is are bass confused and attacking the baits as snakes? Should we start calling them snakes instead and painting them as such? Which have you had the most success with a 2 or 3 part "rat" bait? Also does anyone have any advise on brands? I've stumbled across this company does anyone have any TrapBassBaits https://www.instagram.com/trapbassbaits/?hl=enaits/?hl=en ? Any advise is helpful. I've tried searching so if there is another thread feel free to post the link. Thanks, Zack
