Hey SU , I'm stumped. Bought a used lexa 300hl with a stock paddle handle off another user and threw some hawgtech bearings in. Couldn't be happier with the performance. Then I started to have another issue. Fairly regularly I will be casting and the clutch will engage. For all those doubters about braid breaking it's happened 15+ times full casting strength and hasn't sent my lures to the horizon. Is something worn like a return spring or pawl that's allowing the weight of the handle to engage? Any help would be appreciated. When it happens on a 5 oz bait it's a religious experience. Ryan

Solid reel only used it a handful of times bought it last year, couple of light scratches as shown id say it's 9.5/10 appearance and 10/10 performance. 6.3:1 gear ratio spooled with p-line PF 20lb (litterly just put this fresh line on and took in on one trip a week ago, no fish on the line) Just cleaned and serviced $155 TYD

I am a smaller guy and was wondering if anyone here can send pics or give an idea of what this reel(size wise) compares to. Just some insight on my reel experience. I've held a Calcutta 401D and it was a bit too big for my hands. I've used a Daiwa Luna 300 and it feels good in my hand, not over whelming at all. I also own a Calcutta 201 TE and that feels quite small in my hands. I am considering buying this reel, but don't wanna get something too big for my hands. - Can anyone give some insight/comparisons on this reel's size? - Can someone post pictures of it compared to other reels? I'm looking to trade a Daiwa DOA swimbait in Rainbow Trout color (Brand New), I am most interested in a rat of some sort or a mattlures hardgill, or a deps 175, i am definetly open to offers just no trout mimickers because there are no trout in Florida. If you want to get something off your hands but my DOA is not worth enough i am willing to put a small amount of cash in to help even it out but, I'm trying to limit the amount of money I have to spend. A video of the DOA in action-

Went bankfishing today. -it was gloomy, sprinkling, an kinda cool today. -i was the only on the lake because the main road to get there has been closed for about 6 months -was using a rof 12 weedless huddleston the entire time, didnt get one bass bite but had probably a dozen catfish follow the bait to shore, and a equal amount of carp that wouldnt follow as if to eat it but magically appear near the shore 5-10 seconds after getting the bait out of the water. I have never ever seen this happen before, anyone have any clue what the hell would have caused this?

So I normally wouldn't put up a report with fish under 5#, but these where a little different. I decided to fish the hudd 68 again this morning since it's been getting most of the action as of late. Working it extremely slow with short pauses along a drop off I get the first bite of the morning. Just a tick and then slack line. I don't feel the bait so I crank down and swing. A moment later this feisty little gal is in the net (yes, I make it a habit to net everything). I take a quick pic and go to un-hook her......"where the F' is the hudd?" Turn on the flashlight and this little gal has the hudd just about coming out her Arse! Talk about choking it....she is only a 3.4#! About 20 minutes later I get another bite. Set the hook, work it in but doesn't feel big. I look in the net....holly crap it's a football! I put her on the scale....."that can't be" Put her on the back up scale, same weight!!! This little gal was maybe 16" but she weighed in at 4#! Unfortunately the pic does not do her justice. Short and Fat!

not sure if it's the roller clutch or a different part, but my tatula hd seems like it's not engaging completely and the spool turns about a quarter turn before engaging. do any of you reel gurus have any ideas?

Hi guys! I fish big baits and bass quite a bit but usually at stained lakes. I've been recently fishing Lake Miramar with success on dropshot but now with big baits. I've had plenty of large followers but can't get them to hit. I'm wondering if that's because I'm fishing dark green very visible PLine CXX 30lb mono in one of the clearest lakes in SD county? Should I make the switch to 100% flurocarbon? I fish a Daiwa Luna 300 and have a Curado 301e and usually fish Huddleston 68's and an Imakatsu Big Roid 210. Should I go to full flurocarbon? If so what LB test? Thanks! Nicky
