I have 3 compartments and I love the size of the boat. Perfect for 1-2 people and I’m still able to be pretty stealthy or get into tight places when I need to. I’m thinking about getting one Mounting was a little bit of a pain due to how much clearance you need for the shaft, so it sits pretty far forward. My boat is old so I don’t have much space up front in the first place. Order the MKA-21 mounting plate and it helped. I can’t use it as a quick disconnect but it gave me more mounting hole options. Other than that it wasn’t bad. http://www.rnrd.com/ makes a sliding mounting plate that I might go with down the road. Plus like you said, it sits way farther off the bow and wouldn’t of fit in my garage straight back.
